The windows c: drive need to be repaired

I have been using Trainz for over 20 years and now a problem needs solving.
The hard drive after being cloned 3 years ago (after needing more space ) needed years of junk needed repairs.
The drive was repaired using the windows repair program but after days I cannot get the installers both online and offline to get the TRS22 running.
Error MSUP140-ATOMIC-WAIT.DLL which i believe is part of direct 12 (installed).
please advise how to sort out this problem

According to my link above, the original Microsoft installers, downloaded from the Microsoft website and digitally signed by Microsoft.

They can be installed one at a time individually or run the included install_all.bat with admin privileges (right click, "Run as administrator"), and Everything will be installed in silent mode in less than a minute.

It's very convenient and I've been using it for a long time.

I've used that one too a while ago. Microsoft has changed their website and made it more confusing... what else is new!

The most curious and paradoxical thing about the "MSUP140-ATOMIC-WAIT.DLL Error" appearing due to a missing Windows component is that every month there are several Windows 11 updates, sometimes up to 4 or 5, and the Windows system is unable to update with this component, which is theoretically essential for games, and it's the inexperienced user who has to rack their brains to solve it.
