Not sure if this exactly answers your question, but here goes something.
Gimp 2.6 is the one in this little box of bytes.
Following through from beginning in case there are others need to know:
On Transform/Perspective, one way is to left click on Tools there in things across top of picture window. In pop up menu mouse over Transform tools then chose Perspective from next popup menu.
Or
Start by clicking on blue trapezoid shaped icon in Toolbox window.
At that point cursor should change to a cross with that little trapezoidal icon lower right.
Left click on picture and that will set up the center point, a light blue crosshair looking thing and also open the Perspective Transformation Matrix box/window, or whatever it is called, which has several sets of numbers which do whatever it is they do.
Centering mouse cross over that light blue crosshair and holding left button allows blue crosshair to be moved around photo, not sure of exactly what that is but it is a needed function of some kind.
And only reason I know that is 'cause of a $50 book titled Beginning Gimp by a gal named Akkana Peck who was apparently one of the developers.
Bought that a few months ago after downloading Gimp and even though program is pretty good it was frustrating starting off knowing nothing.
any help?
