Help - Trainz Classics 3 S&C new owner!

Hello,

I've just purchased the current edition of the S&C from the Auran website, and have downloaded some extra locos from the trainzclassics.co.uk website.
How do I install them? On starting the sim, with the ts2009.exe, the content button will not let me select it.

Please help!

It's installed as a standalone, as I don't have TS2009 on my pc, however, in my Auran folder, the only .exe I have is Trainz...

Going into the configure Trainz window tells me that the version installed is "Trainz Simulator 2009 SP1 (40837)".
I've tried clicking on the two downloaded files, which have cmp icons attached to them, I get a window pop up asking me to launch Trainz, and enter a valid serial for it. I have already typed my serial, which shows in the configure Trainz window... where in Trainz do I enter my serial?

Hopefully some one will be along to confirm this but when its installed standalone you are not able to add rolling stock or other items for that you need TS2009 and install it as add on.

From memory Amazon.co.uk had TS2009 for about 6 quid or you can pre-order TS2010 from Auran and it should install to that one when it arrives. I'd suggest going the TS2010 route.

Yep, there is no content manager in the S&C standalone version - I've just checked it (it's on the Launcher Menu but disabled). I would do as JohnW suggests Bob.

If you have a TS2009 serial number, you can add this to the existing installation in the options (accessed from the launcher).

This should unlock CM2 and Surveyor for you.

You appear to be saying that if I add my TS2009 serial code to a stand-alone TS2009SnC installation it will enable Surveyor and CMP. I have tried this and SnC just rejects the 2009 number.

Any pointers please.

It may be that it doesn't accept the serial number because it can't find the TS2009 .ja files.

Try copying the .ja files from your TS2009 install's builtin folder, adding the serial, and then removing the .ja files.

I seem to remember that I did this to get a TS2009 install with only the S&C content but with CMP active.

You may need to do extended database repairs at various stages.

i have also tried this works fine except when in surveyor errors show up in top left hand corner any ideas!
