Trainz Of ATL
so i have both ts12 and ts10, but everytime i download from a non DLS website, it always sends the download to trainz12 instead of trainz10. i do not know how to change this, so if anyone could give me the steps to change the downloading from ts12 to ts10, that would be great.

If you have multiple versions, you should not use the double-click or open option - always save the file to a folder (like the Desktop) then use the Import CDP option in whichever version of Trainz you wish to import to.

This applies to versions from TRS2006 onwards.

Absolutely correct Shane, except that I use the Downloads Folder. Then use import CDP from there.

Under My Computer, go to Tools->Folder Options->File Types and look for CDP. Click to highlight, click Advanced, then click "open" under the Actions listing to highlight it, then click Edit to the right. Browse to the location of the TS2010 or whatever CMP you want to be the default handler for Trainz content files. Click ok when done and Ok out of the rest. Repeat for CDP2 files as well.

I usualy click on the download url and drag it to my downloads, but when i drag it from downloads to the content manager it just says 0 errors 1 warnings and it dosent install. is something wrong with that?

The neat part of using import CDP is that it also installs the item for you. Yes, I am very familiar with the jointed rail site and a few others. I even make a donation once in awhile so they don't get discouraged.
