which engine? 'cause i'm seeing what looks like a BN GP-40(-2?) or GP-38-2 and what appears to be a GP-30, judging from the high long hood over the cab. :confused:
 
well yes you need to be more specific on witch one, i think the lead loco is a EMD GP15-1. the helper i think is a early GE B39-8.:cool::wave:
 
just goes to show ya', i can't tell a GP-40 from a GP-35. I'm good with a GP-7 from a GP-40, or any ALCO from another, but i can't tell most of 'em apart.

Maybe that's why i hate diesels--but not ALCos, 'cause they're not diesels, they're honorary steam engines :wave: :o another one of my crazy theories.
 
The GP35 has a small mid-fan for the radiator.

If you want, you can see if you could pick up a copy of a diesel spotter's guide. They are very useful.

nice use of a model train to point out that fan. and i get mixed up when it comes to diesels, i have a book called "A FIELD GUIDE TO TRAINS" its got all sorts of diesels, i still get mixed up!:'( lol nothing tho, i still stand by my post, who knows maybe I'm right! :hehe::hehe:
