Goods Drop Off Places

Common industries that load/unload goods

Still being new at this, I'm looking for help to identify available industries, etc. which I can load and/or unload items. I downloaded a route that has a pick-up point for General Goods, but no where to drop them off. Is there a guide that shows these industries?

thanks, Rick

According to your heading you have TRS04, 06, 09 and now 12 and you're asking this question. What have you been doing with all these versions? I'm not trying to be mean but I am curious. General Gooods can be anything you make it. For instance, Dave Snow made a furniture mfg building, it needs general goods besides lumber, plywood, pallets and produces Pallet of Goods. Use the MIN at the industry you choose and set it up to your specs. Have fun.

Thanks

Thanks. I love the simulator but have just been too busy to devote more than a few hours. Now that I'm almost retired I promised myself that I would get more involved.

I know the feeling Rick. Im classed as semi-retired as I am a full time carer for my wife. So I've been finding a little extra time just lately to have some me time :)

Hi Rick --

" ... I'm looking for help to identify available industries, etc. which I can load and/or unload items."

Well, all interactive industries can be configured to load and unload commodities. Most are limited to one or a few commodities, which is why on my more recent routes I prefer to use the Multiple Industry New.

The MIN can be configured to produce or consume every commodity that is in your Trainz installation, giving it tremendous flexibility. This, for example is the commodity flow diagram for DowntownTractionCo, all done with MINs:

And the route:

The other part of the equation is selecting the freight cars that are configured to carry the commodities. This is the rolling stock List for DowntownTraction:

If I could get the damn Search function of these Forums to work I'd provide a link to the postings I have made about the route. But I cant. If you are interested this video (best viewed full screen and HD) shows the quick sprint around DowntownTraction:
