G'day hope5,

...that looks fine by me. I'm sure we'll make a 'modeller' out of you, yet. Just make sure your textures are mapped 'to scale'. That is, if those Sandstone blocks are, say, 18" x 24" in real life, that's how 'big; they should appear to be on your 'model', otherwise the whole object will appear to be too small or too large depending on how awry the scaling is. It would also be 'wise' to align the textures applied to each face so that the 'blocks' align in a manner that would be the case as in the real world...

...to achieve the proper scale, I place a box object the desired size on the face (use the autogrid option) of the object being textured, adjust it to the required size and then 'edit' the texture mapping so that the texture is scaled according to the box. Once I am happy, I delete the unwanted 'box'...

...I've also just noticed that the texture applied to the 'face' of the portal (the mouth/adit) is 'askew' - you might want to adjust that...

G'day rbar_164,

...Stevo, you wrote...

..."...We need some Aussie (VR) ones, Garry..."...

...VR ones, you say? Hmm, let me see...

...Elphinstone...

...Big Hill/Chewton...

...Cheviot...

...Tarrawarra...

...South Geelong..

...North Richmond...

and

...Heidelberg...

...are all that spring to mind (my apologies to any I might have missed) and every one of them is different...

...don't you think I'm busy enough as it is?...
