GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Old What!

well your one of the only people to ever tell me that, usually when i post screens for sketchup, i get told what a crappy and useless program it is, and how it should never be used for trainz
(Retracted by autor due to lack of the british to see humor within themselves). Sorry mate!

Mate comes from matie, which is translated from portagese, (sorry about spellin); and if you look in history you will see that there is really nothing english about the british! they are more of a mix than anyone else, including the current day Americans that come from every country, yet keep a heritage of thier origins! Not to affend anyone, ok. Is just fact!

And of course English has more German in it than anything since it's a Germanic language.

Its a class 66, you can tell by the name of the pic
And also by doing a bit of research, I'd have thought even someone who doesn't know anything about British locos could see that a Class 66 looks nothing like a Class 67 or the non-existant Class 61.

I think some may take offense to you saying there's nothing english about the british... but besides that, can I ask why you've taken one word out of someone's post to start a discussion about the English language? Do you not realise that every language takes words from others? The word "mate" comes from dutch by the way. I'm not sure where you get your information from but seeing as you can't even spell portuguese I'll assume you're just making it up ;)

Well, the dutch are Germanic too! My post was about the word mate. Was just a bit of humor, American style! Sorry to offend, just see a program that tell about origins.

Exactly. The word comes from Dutch, which is a Germanic language, not Portuguese, which is one of the Romance languages. I don't understand how you are linking the two. I'm pretty sure anyone in America, Britain, Romania or any other country would take offence to that kind of comment about their heritage. Unless of course you meant that there's nothing English about the British language, which is a stupid comment to make since British isn't a language.

But anyway... any more renders peeps? I don't have access to my PC :(

Chaps -

Before we start poking the finger at each other's national history and identity, we might want to remember that all such discussions are doomed to end in bitter slanging matches. So, before we descend to such depths, can we drop the flag waving and get back on topic.

PS. According to Wikipedia, the word "mate" is derived from a type of children's bubble-bath that was popular in the 1970's.

Sounds about right :p I agree with what you're saying though, just trying to pump some badly-needed education into the forum :)

Would that happen to be a distant cousin to the swedish railways 'Gator' electric type locomotive?
Just curious.
