Much better indeed. The old one was fabulous, but this looks great. Hopefully now the markers and flags will work in T:ANE, for me they have not been showing p, however orbs of light show when the markers are lit.

That's odd...they work fine for me in TS10 thru TANE.
 
This is the '40s version, not the current one. It's not white walled - it's polished. Otherwise the tires on the lead and tender trucks would be solid black.
Burnished tyres is the term I believe. Only been white in the preservation era. If only we had the other '40s star......11..... Dreaming! (Not gimme pigging)

I do actually intend to do a full set of V&T 4-4-0s when I get the chance...
And the term is "Finished Iron," at least according to Baldwin. ;)
 
Finished Iron, yes that does sound familiar. Just the though of a V&T roster with 'Reno' warms me like a fresh cup of tea.

The "white walls" on steam engines came from the photographer who did the builders photos so that the wheels would show up on an all black engine, at lest I think that is how it came about, I know that is what I would have done.
