G'day!

Just some more poly reduction and some minor modifications such as smoothing out faces and adding small details here and there.

Cheers!

Jake.

Jake, great locomotive; when are we going to see the blue, white and swiggle paint job? I would love this for Mount Morgan.

Keep it up.

Some new versions of old stuff, currently on my workbench:

I've got this one running in Trainz but am having a texture issue with TANE that I've raised with the helpdesk (Zec?) so it may take a while:

I've never really been happy with the side profile of the built-in Mk1s, and the sharp angle between the opening lights and the window below, so thought I'd have a go at a new version:

The 03 that is available for Trainz is excellent, but I wanted an m.tbumpenv material version to have a play with some weathering effects, so decided to start from scratch:

In case anyone asks, the 70 is just about ready to go, but it suffers from the same texture artefacts as the 31, although much less noticeable, so I'm awaiting a helpdesk response before releasing.

Woah! Brings back memories of my trip to London! Have you ever thought about taking a stab at a Class 378 or S Stock?

Lovely, lovely models. Love 'em!

Hi rumour --

That looks absolutely stunning.

From your comments does it mean that there may be an issue with the textures on existing rolling stock when imported into T:ANE?

Is anyone aware of high quality a British Class 20 ? That would be most welcome.

Phil

Keep it relatively low, but Greeni has started a Class 20.

Will the 3D springs stay on the bogies or are they just there for ease of normal mapping? I want to use modeled springs, but don't want to kill low-end machines (700 polys per spring). Either way, I look forward to all 3, especially the Type 2.

Just something I've managed to whipped up in a matter of 2 days. Must say, this beats that "other" version...

Only the wheels and piston animations are left for this model

In time. I have contacted a user who is willing to create the EE style bogies for the locomotive as for the life of me I have no idea how to make them, haha. So it is close to being mapped and skinned.

I've worked on darkening my renders a bit so they are not so bright.

I've no idea why the fan grill is so dark, even though its the same colour as the loco.

Cheers!

Jake.

Well, that is wonderful news as for the QR Version; you will have to include buffers but I trust you are keeping busy and well.

I got some news for you; I already have available the bogie for the locomotive which I made a while back for my own version but I have over the last few weeks updated the mesh in 3ds max with detailed springs and details. The wheels are animated and the attachment points are in place. Just ready to be exported.
