Getting close to packing it all in!

Your system will run a DB repair when you install a patch. This is a normal procedure as it opens and verifies the database integrity and commits the upgraded assets and information after the patch has completed.

Don't panic if you see a huge number of errors. Heck I had 365,000 errors after performing the big database update! I thought I'd be there all month fixing items again.

So using the filter in CM, set to show Faulty items, it's actually a tab, you can view all the so-called faulty items.

With the items in view, select a bunch - 20 or so is good - and right click on them.

Choose View Errors and warnings.

Now, mysteriously as the errors appeared, a bunch will disappear as the content is verified again.

Repeat this procedure with another bunch of assets. If you are really brave, go for a hundred or so, repeating again the view errors.

Now if there really are any faulty assets, they will be the ones left that cannot be verified as working and definitely have errors.

There is a big sticky in the TS10 support forum on how to repair assets. In general download PEVTools from

http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/~villaump/pevsoft.htm

This gentleman and Trainz user, has developed a nice toolbox of utilities to make fixing assets a lot easier.

Anyway, I hope this helps. I can feel your frustration, but believe me, once you make it over the hump, you'll have some great time wasting. :)
