Flower & Weed..Download now!!!

No worries mate.

Just a couple of things, we all use the kuid2 system in 04, instead of kuid:328583:1056 it would be kuid2:328583:1056:1 the 1 at the end represents the first release of that particular model.

If and when you need to update that piece of content the number will increment by one. eg <kuid2:328583:1056:2>. There is a full explanation of this process in the CCG.

I have the content creation guide for TRS04 if you would like it. It is in PDF format and is about 3.80mb's. I can't find it's link at Auran at present, but the CCG is a good guide, especially for config examples.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Wiley:)

Edit:
I did find a link for an older version of TRS04 CCG, it is version 1.03 released in 2003, the one I use, is version 1.04 released in Dec 2004.

OK...just trying to clear things out:

Do it HAVE to be kuid2 files for 2004 user to use the content? (I've modified the files and removed all the TRS 2006 assets, checked them in surveyor and they all running well on my 2006: but still keeping them in the non kuid2 format)

I tried to change the KUID to KUID2(kuid:328583:1056 to kuid2:328583:1056:1) but got a missing dependencies mark in the content manager plus.

So please help me out here..should I keep the 06 format and remove all the "special" 06 assets (they still function 100% on TRS06)

OR

Should I change all the kuid ID's to kuid2??

pls reply....(once I got this cleared out, I have nearly all the files ready, including 1 grass spline)

I can't help with 06, I only use 04.

Try importing one of your items into 06 using a new kuid2 #, different from what you have already allocated, and change the Trainzbuild to 2.2 in the config file. Then see if CMP will commit it.

Cheers

Yes..ok, but u get the files u tried to work in ur 2004 version.

And I got the same files running without any kind of problem on my 2006.

So then we are ready for launch???

The grass is from the spline and the flower is the upcoming Papaver Rhoeas11, the red beauties are in true 3D:D .

I just recieved a feedback from a great guy who tested the spline on TRS 2004 (and worked well on 04)...so I will release them very soon...
------------------------
There will be 2 splines in the pack, one 4m and one 8 m with the same grass (the 4m version is smaller but with higher density, the 8 m wider and less density). The pack will also include remade 04/06 compitable version of most of my previous files...just waiting for the file database to update.....

Hi Jan
Many thanks, there are some nice objects here and deserve congratulations
All items have now surfaced in Trains and work without problem however the following could do with some attention
Grass 18s splines shows twice under this title, one requires region code, and they are also both listed as track in the config
There are various items in the folders that appear to be unnecessary, these I have deleted at this end without problem, considerably reducing the file sizes please find details by email
I have also removed all the thumbnails again without detriment to the objects this again reduces the file size
Regards Bob V

Very nice 'greenery' assets Jan! I do hope they will be available on the Auran download station at some point in time. Thus avoiding the 'missing 3rd party assets' problem.

Many THX...:)

The best part is when u use them in ur routes, I have downloaded many nice things from great creators. I will especially mention (DmDrake) David and Roberto Conti as great creators who shared their beautifull work with the community.

All plants and flowers are uploaded to DLS, all should be compitabel with 2004 , sorry for small bugs:rolleyes: , but when making omelette you have to break some eggs;) too.

I have ready for u new grass splines and a grass which I think will be needed by u, here are some shots......

..first 2 new flowers in 3D..Centaurea Cyanus2 (Cornflower) and the Daisy to fill ur pastures with....(they are made separate, but I mixed them here in this shot)

And some new grass....3 new grass splines and
www3gs9.jpg

The closest one is Grass27 (non spline). Then follows the 3 new grass splines....

Important message: All files will be updated at DLS, due to missing thumbnails, to large filesize and unnessasary filefragments...

Hi Jan
Thanks for the reply to the email
Just one more small point before future uploads may I suggest you reduce the size of the images in the files to something like 128x256 and 256x256 as at the moment some of these files are in excess of 4mb. As a route builder I would be very reluctant at the moment to use these items in any uploaded route simply because of the file sizes I have resized them at this end successfully without any obvious detrimental effect

Image here using resized file images

PLS give feedback on theese one, I need it when making new ones

Just a thought….
I’m no expert at this but I have just downloaded Centaurea Cyanus 2(Cornflower) (again a very welcome additional piece of content) by simply removing the apparently unnecessary items from the file and reducing the remaining images in size I now have a 1.09 MB working file instead of the original at 7.58 MB I’m sure in my mind that if you ask for a little help and advice from other content creators further reductions could still be made without detriment to these excellent objects

Hi Bob..

Sure thing...I will use smaller images to reduse resource usage. Like I said in my previos post, I will go through all my files to get them more up to date. The issue with filesize on *.tga and *.bmp files is relatively easy to solve, because I don't have to re-make them in the Gmax. The 128 kb. seems like a ok size (or 256 on bigger objects).

I.m also working to get rid off all the unnessesary file fragments....

I also want all the files to have their thumbs to show up in the DLS, so I will post all the v.1 files today or tomorrow.

Hi Jan
Looking forward to the updated versions as I said originally there are some great and very welcome additional items of content here
Regards, Bob V

I have updated all my (relevant)files, here is the changelist:

- Thumbnails added with the correct name etc.
- Changed filesize of all *.tga and *bmp files, making them about 50-95 % smaller in size without any specific visual loss in quality.
- removed all unnessesary file fragments
- upgraded them from v.0 to v.1 to get the right files when loading dependencies from DLS
- changed the Wheat spline to get a more realistic shape.
- all files made compatible with trainz 2004

All (updated) files are uploaded to DLS.

2 new ones (and the re-made Wheat spline):
image1sg4.jpg

The green field is the new Wheat summer spline, the blue flowers are Chicory (Cichorium Intybus), a common sight around corn fields. Then the re-made Wheat spline. Also a new grass spline (Grass28s) are included (shown in a previous picture).

The next one:

Grass29 spline....soon to come

Update:....all files available at DLS (exept for the last one)

cheers

I just wanted to post pics of some stuff I've finished....

image1bu7.jpg

This is #31 in the Grass collection I'm working on at the moment. Some of them are splines, this one is non spline.

image2pd2.jpg

This spline (Grass28s) give ur tracks a smooth cover of fine grass. 10m wide.

The next one is more narrow (Grass29s spline)

image3lg2.jpg

The next one (under) is Grass30 (non spline)
image4og5.jpg

Grass32s spline

image7gp2.jpg

image8ia5.jpg

Coltsfoot

And finally a mix of (some of) the latest stuff....
image5mz4.jpg

Barley filed spline
barleyfieldsplineaa5.jpg

Under: Oat field spline
oatfieldsplinewk5.jpg

image1di0.jpg

The last one out tonight is the spline version of Grass31 (it contains different models - more than Grass31)
It's 6 m wide and 16 m long.

All files shown on pictures uploaded to DLS....

--------------------------
Update

- Wheat spline summer is present at the DLS, but it contains a bug and a new and working version are uploaded.
- Oat field is missing thumbnails at DLS, new version uploaded.

cheers

The Black Forest never looked so good!:D

I've been downloading and sorting through some of your foliage, and I'm very impressed. Thanks for all the development you've put into upgrading these and making them available.
