I have a new route to release to the public, called Fictional Transit System. Here are some shots

View of 42nd Street and Yard
(now you have to go to the website trainstuf.110mb.com and view the Auran Trainz page, due to some issues.)

And here's one more

View of 23rd Street Stations (one more, but hidden)

It's an interesting start. I hope you'll do some more development and texturing before you put it on the DLS.
I think when you finish it will make a very nice addition to the TRS06 routes.

Just out of interest...

What image program are you using?

If it's MS Paint, it has an option to save pics as JPEGs.

Your first image as a BMP is 2359530 Bytes in size. That's 2.2MegaBytes in size... That's one hell of a hit for all those 56k modem users (mainly in time) and all those limited speed, capped broadband users out there (of which I am one...)

If you had used the JPG format, it would be about 200KiloBytes or less for the same resolution, same colours, would look just the same and load in a tenth of the time.

Changing formats in MS Paint is simple.
click on save as,
Select JPG
name it,
click save.

I've just checked and a screenie of my desktop in BMP format was 2.25MB for 32bit colour, 1024 by 768 res. In JPG format, it's just 160KB.

I also refer you to the CoC about image size outside of the screenshots section of the forum.

regards

Harry

edit... Nice looking route. Keep the good work going

Continuing on what Harry said, I don't even click links that end in .bmp. Even on a 5mbps connection running at top speed (as if ) that takes at least 4 seconds to load.
