Faulty asset- can it be fixed?

Learning... slowly!
The asset 'Station Terminus 3t' (KUID2:1942:28224:2) is persistently showing up as faulty and consequently won't show itself in the routes in which it is used- Slapton-Bolton Abbey being one.

Is there any way I can make it work?

They are fixable, but for two of the errors you will need to check if the files actually exist in the asset's folder. For the attachment point errors, it may be easier to remove the offending attachment point references from the config. You can ignore the trainz-build error.

If the files don't exist you will need to create them. If they do exist, you will need access to Windows in order to use PM2IM.

The textures that claim to be missing are obviously nightlamp.texture and night/nightlamp.texture.

In the folder, there's nightlamp.texture.tx and nightlamp.tga.

Am I right in thinking that I need to change the config file so it's looking for nightlamp.tga instead of nightlamp.texture?

No - the config is correct. Unfortunately, this is one of those where PM2IM is required, but as you know it's Windows-only.

Ahh okay. I just deleted the attachment points... and the whole asset just disappeared without a trace. :/

Alex,

I agree with Kevin. Ensure that the asset isn't still open for edit. I've done that before too and got really confused when I went looking for it in Surveyor!

A couple of hints too regarding night mode and stuff.

Sometimes the creator has created a night mode director which is referred to in the config.txt. This is okay, but the problem is not all the textures, or even a night-mode mesh file are copied into the nigh-mode directory. This can cause errors and is easily fixed. I found that if I check the main folder for the asset, that the referenced textures and mesh files were there. I simply moved them to the correct folder and everything worked.

In your case, the PM2IM tool should fix your problem. Sometimes it can't though and I'm not sure why.
