Even more confused

I've touched on this subject before.
I believe in freedom of speech and all that but feel that all members who choose to join this forum should at least show a bit of committment and identify themselves. Generally, when I look to see who has made a post, there is nothing to see. I have no idea if I am conversing with Male/female, young/old, experienced/or not. You may argue, but it really does matter if you want genuine responses. No-one can make an accurate and considered response if they have no idea of, to whom they are responding.
Whatever your view, it is important that you have some idea who you are speaking or responding to. This idea of, I'm lost in space or, from planet pluto may be initially humerous, but it does get tiresome and in the end shows contempt for this forum and a lack of respect. In the end, it is difficult, or at least I find it so, to accept advice or help from a source that hides its identity.
If you have contentious issues to raise, then stand up and be counted by identifying yourself accurately. Why not be up front.......why am I prepared to tell you who I am but you hide your identity...........why are you hiding?

Hello Ian, I agree!

Very few people put more in their profile than mention of a country or planet. Many don't mention anything about themselves and then expect to be treated in a special way because of some personal problem or condition they wish to keep secret. Those of us who, for instance, found fault with a member 'texting' on the forum earlier today were accused of racism by that person!

I notice that you have provided a good deal of info in your profile! This is exactly what we need more of.

Thanks, Dave

Ian M,

I concur (as Ed would say) !

And there are many other things that need to be cleaned up regarding the Forum .
My priority , although I know very little regarding bandwith and its costs , it seems some concern regarding this Forum's members frivolous usage could possibly relax Auran's financial output ?

Just a thought, ---DLR

I have no idea if I am conversing with Male/female, young/old, experienced/or not.

Most of the members are male, you get to know who the females are pretty easy.
Age can be seen either by clicking on their name and seeing their profile or look up their UserID on PlanetAuran (I think male/female is listed there too).
Experience can only be figured out by postings.:p

Many thanks for your responses.
I thought, in retrospect, that perhaps my post may have stirred up a 'hornets nest', and I know at one time it would have - the good old days. I don't what's out there but it ain't hornets, that's for sure.
