Erie Mainline Available?

I am new to this game, but I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the Erie mainline in NY if its available. The closest I could find is this http://www.likewhatyouc.com/elrailspart2.htm, but with a 2009 completion date, I'm afraid that it was never completed. Any help would be appreciated as I would love to drive a train through my home town as it sat right on the mainline.

There are several under construction, including my own Port Jervis to Suffern line, but they are big and complex and I wouldn't look for any to be completed very soon.

Thanks for your reply. Your project is the exact portion I was looking for. I live in Goshen, and see the remnants of the mainline everyday, as well as bike on it as some of it is now a trail. If there is anything I can get for you, please let me know.

I remember that mainline in action as well. The last time I was in Middletown, visiting my aunt back in 1992/93, the tracks were pulled up. The old Pilgrim's Corner line was all that was left, and even that didn't look like it was in great shape or used at all.

If you're interested in blank terrains where you need to add the track, check out the DLS for username Fishlipsatwork. His stuff is also located up at www.gaurc.com as well.

Thanks. I downloaded the Port Jervis pack, and I'll see what I can do with it.
Here are 2 picture that you might find interesting. The first one is 1963 on the main line right before the Goshen Station, the second one is the same crossing in 2011. Not much has changed, except the tracks are gone. I'll take a better picture this summer.

Thank you for the pictures. The top one brings back a few memories when I was a lot younger. :)

I hate it when the yuppies get the tracks lifted up and then put signs and markers up indicating where there were once a ROW and trains.

Oh...come on George. We need someplace to run those Erie F7's. :hehe:
