High-Speed Running

Hey y'all,

I hate to bother y'all so close to Thanksgiving but this issue has been nagging at me for the longest time; I was wondering if y'all know about any North American routes that contain long, straight sections of mainline (or decently superelevated curves) where I could really open up the throttle and speed-test some of my locomotives, ideally 80-90-100mph and above for several miles at a minimum. I realize I could change the scenery to overseas but the narrower loading gauge and other incompatibilities can really grind my gears. I know this is a long shot but any help would really be appreciated as I've officially run out of patience combing the DLS and the rest of the internet for anything even close.

Either way have a happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the long weekend!

Try the UMR route. At speed it takes 8 hrs to travel the longest route. There are long straight stretches and wide sweeping curves. Speeds are set at 60 mph (slower in mountain regions). I've been able go significantly faster in manual operation. It is a fictitious North America route with many towns and branchlines.
