HSP46 & BTC/CTC coaches.

Hello there!

I've noticed that Trainz is severely lacking in the Commuter train area and was wondering if anyone else would be interested in a MBTA set featuring the HSP46 locomotive and the BTC/CTC cars.

I think this would make a great addition as commuter trains are very fun to drive and I would love to have them in a game that isn't a buggy mess (Looking at you TSW5...)

Unfortunately, as much as I agree with you, your options for obtaining said trains mostly consist of the following:

(A) Finding a creator who currently accepts commissions and shelling out possibly $100 or more for a brand new model
(B) Spending hundreds of hours learning how to 3D model and code and do it yourself (with a guarantee that people will complain if it's not completely accurate to the Nth degree)
(C) Hoping that some benevolent creator decides to create a decent model for the benefit of the community and pray that it either lands on the DLS or on a third-party website that hopefully won't disappear within a year

There's thousands of different locomotive and railcar types that have existed over the course of railroading's almost 200-year history that have yet to be modeled, and unfortunately most content we get depends on finances and the specific tastes of the creators we do have. Until AI progresses to the point where it can generate and code a working model itself, we're pretty much stuck with the current system :/
