EBT Railroad tourist era future

I’m making a recreation of EBT as it could be in the future with more track restored. I merged an Aughwick bridge route with a blank DEM. Fishlipsatwork’s DEM is best because it has no irregularities but a different DEM has all these odd ditches and terrain jutting up. The real EBT is really clearing more track that was out of service since April 1956 for tourist rides like toward Saltillo the opposite way from Rockhill/Orbisonia than the normal tourist route toward Colgate Grove wye which is now restored for service. Someday you will see a steam train cross Pogue bridge. And in the far future the two tunnels beyond Saltillo will be opened.

Robert, yes I've been following the latest news bulletins and the EBT website and I also get the FEBT newsletter and Timber Transfer. A life member of FEBT but I haven't been out to see it in person in several years. Last time actually was some years before they stopped running the steam locos.

My EBT route doesn't have much scenery, I'm sorry to say, but it has all the track. My own DEM work made with MD and HOG started showing ridges and valleys along board joins back in TS12 and TANE was worse. The new one I started for TANE using TransDem looks just great with none of those problems and more detail in the terrain.

On my route I do get to cross the Aughwick on the steel truss bridge at Pogue quite regularly, also the concrete bridge at Aughwick Mills. My 2 tunnels don't have insides or portals but the trains don't seem to care and charge ahead on the track thru the rock face.

Good to hear you're back working on an EBT route. Several attempts by others have been made to model the EBT RR for Trainz but to date none have ever been finished. I am considering making a model rr version of the EBT route - along the lines of Ron Pearson's (no relation) great HOn3 route that was featured sometime back in MR magazine. Ron's an FEBT member and modeler (real not virtual). Maybe I can stay focused long enough to finish an EBT route on just a couple of baseboards. My current one is 3100+ and will never be finished.
