East Kentucky

The revised areas look great, but it will be a shame to see the speedtrees ruin your work.

Anybody puts Speedtrees on any of my routes gets banned for life lol...

Pretty sure Trunda's trees are immune from the overwrite nonsense, if not then this is strictly an 04/06 route. What the heck was wrong with a nice alpha tree or two anyway....

Your tree selection and placement put speedtrees to shame anyway. Plus the MP track (which from what I can see is quite commonly used) has also been obseleted in TS2010. Grrrrrrr!!

Shenanigans aside, cracking shots as always, Andy. I can foresee this one being recognised as one of the top routes in Trainz.

Very very nice Shots from a very very nice Route. I'm waiting for that new Version, but I have Time Andy.

Cheers Epo :)

Andy,

Thanks for the information, hopefully if I update some of the graphics card issues on my PC, it will work fine.

I have to say, I live almost on top of where this route is based, the area in general, and this depicts the area so well, that it is worth being payware.
That last photo is nearly a photograph taken along one of the areas rail lines.
Immense detail, you've really out done yourself this time Andy.

Cheers,
Woody

P.S Lets see some of those NS High hoods at that location, perhaps some Southern?:D

Dermmy, I love the screens. Is this version going to be released? I love East Kentucky V2. If this is released I will definantly get it.

Thanks everybody :)

@ Woody - some SOU might sneak in, but NS just ain't my thing!

@ gus - EK3 is still a WIP. East Kentucky 2 is available via my sig, but it is nothing like the posted screenies. Scroll back to the start of the thread for some older pics.

@ ptrainman - definitely for release. My original plan was to include Hazard and the Lotts Creek Branch in EK3, but I think I am going to settle for just finishing the detail upgrade and extending the main line thru Hazard and release that as EK3, then add Lotts Creek as EK4. That will get it out quicker, but still not 'soon'...

Andy ;)

I'm looking forward to the next Kentucky release!!

From the looks of this, it qualifies as quality payware easily. Better than many I've seen as payware.

Definitely not for screwing up with the disastrous abomination of 2010. You should put a lock on the download that prevents its installation in 2010. Maybe a self destruct mechanism of some sort - for 2010, not your route.

06 Rulez - lol :)

Another one featuring RRMods new SW1200 on an unlikely Conrail main line freight. I have doubled the main line between Dent and the Eastern portals to simplify AI portal operations on the semi-random AI sessions I prefer. Whether or not the entire route gets doubled is still an open question, but I think double track is going to win out over proto realism. Anybody offended by the lapse from prototype fidelity can easily enough single the track again....

... Yes, it's on the wrong track. Doh!

Andy ;)

Lookin' fine, Andy! I've seen many pics and videos of trains on the wrong track, usually because there is some obstruction up ahead. Keep 'em coming.

Cheers,
Fred

I can't express how excited I am about the upgrade to this route. I know the original was from a long time ago, and much has changed. After seeing your Clovis work, I secretly wished you would model something further East. You are definitely capturing the feel of the area. I'll try to shut up about this one until I have something more relevant to say. I just really look forward to it.
