Dugouts/dighole not aligning

Recently, any dig out/dig-hole I use does not line up with any of the base board lines. Typically, the selected dig hole fits within the grid lines. Now it is shifted overlapping the lines. Any suggestions on how to correct this issue and why it might be happening? I use these when I design a model railroad (multiple scales) to expose the area where the floor goes and define the edge of the layout.

If you repainted your grid, it may not be scaled properly. Make sure the direction indicator is pointing up and the scale knob is as small as possible.

I did repaint the grid. Maybe that is it. I will do a test. Thanks. But, how would the regular user know something like that could happen? How did you learn this? So many questions about the hidden workings of this program….😁

Much of our experience comes from finding out the hard way whether things work or not. Unlike a real model railroad, there's nothing lost except time, disk drive space, and a few pixels. This is why backups are very important.

Yes, there's so much to learn about this program. Unlike other "games", there's a lot more to it than just building pretty scenes and running trains in it. Like a real model railroad, we can landscape with the paint and plaster and sculpting tools, lay track and place buildings and trees. Like a model railroad, we can place our trains and run them. Unlike a model railroad, we can do this over and over and not waste any money or take up a lot of space, and unlike a model railroad, we can have a plethora of trains and barely spend any money.

The scripting and driver schedules are similar to wiring up the blocks and DCC controllers. It takes time to tweak all this to get it operating but when we do it usually works well.

:unsure:Well, I've known it for so long, I guess I don't remember "how" I learned it, I imagine the same way you just did😉 Ask questions and learn from others.. Merry Christmas!
