Duchess Pack- Product Key

Learning... slowly!
I'm trying to install the Auran Duchess pack and I've been asked for a product key/serial number. However, there's not one supplied- either in the 'My Orders' section on Sim Central or in an email. Do I just put in my TS12 product key?

This happened to me when I bought the Coronation Scot, it should have been sent to you in an email, check your junk mail just in case it has found its' way in there.
If you have the email and their is no product key on there then you will have to submit a ticket to the help desk and tell them what has happened.

So is submitting a ticket the only way to get my serial number? I'm not sure which will take longer- awaiting a reply from the helpdesk or downloading SP1 (though evidence so far suggests that SP1 isn't even an option for me)

I'm so sorry to be a pain here. I attempted to download SP1 from the website (seeing as two previous attempts to use the Auran Patcher had failed) and the download just suddenly terminated around 1/3 of the way through the downloading process. All anti-virus and firewalls that I'm aware of were off. This is probably the fifth time that an attempt to download SP1 has failed. Is there anything I can do?

Are you using the auto-patch or the manual patch? If it's failing through the actual patching process, I need to know the exact error reported.

That time, I'd been on the website and tried to download the SP1 as a file thru firefox. No error message was reported, except that when it claimed to have finished I tried to run the file and it said 'error reading the file' or something similar.
On the two occasions I've tried to do it prior to this, I've done it by clicking 'Patch Trainz' in Options. I presume that's the automatic patcher. Each time, the download just stops and it says something along the lines of 'Patch update failed'- I can't remember the exact wording.

Try one of the other browsers and see if you can download the update\patch that way?Have had that problem with other downloads through Firefox even when using the downloadhelper plug-in.

Didn't you say that you took your computer to the place where you bought it, and they said it could not handle the sp1 patch in another thread?
The minimum stats for running TS12 are XP (SP3) with 1GB of ram, Pentium D3 4GHz or equivalent, NVidia GeForce 7200/128MB or equivalent.
Now that was back at the start of 2012, when that was considered the bear minimum, I very much doubt that the minimum computer specs can run the SP1 without running in to serious problems as it stands today. I know you said you was running XP, what are your other stats to your computer?

Well, I left it running on the auto-patcher from mid-afternoon yesterday and we have success! Whether it'll actually run or not I don't know - I think you're probably right Jonathan. Nevertheless, its there now. Thanks guys.
