Disneyland, California Adventure route (warning large # of pics)

Seriously? It's a saying like G'day in Australia....or ....no I don't think there's an American equivalent. Later? It's like a greeting that is both goodbye and hello... :/

So, like "Shalom" in Hebrew?

EDIT, on topic: The Mark VIIs have the same problems as the Mark VIs. You need to add an initial-count tag in the queues to each one to get rid of the errors in CM.

fat chance that this will be available on trs2006?

Well, To be honest, this is an entirely new route that I began in the 2012 version. The building models will easily work in 06, but the track will likely need to be reworked. The beamway alone has a heafty poly count and depends heavily on the LOD system to keep framerates in check. In short, I will have to make a low poly version for 06. It all depends on what I am able to work out. However, I do recomend getting 12, to be honest it is a great version of trainz and any shortcomings are exceeded by it's strengths. content is now becoming readily availiable and items that are broken are sometimes easy to fix.

Yes, I spent last week updating all the config tags of the JFE Monorails as well as my own. I should start looking into releasing them again, perhaps on the DLS if JFE will let me. Though I have no real use for them now because they are a different, gauge (lets call it) than the Disneyland Resort ones in california. So with this route I will hopefully be able to model some new ones that look and work as realistically as the WDW ones.

cheers

More work on Main Street Station:

Doors are in, starting on the interior now. Monorail beamway is proto with the correct dripguards and supports..

Comments?

GOOD. Amazing actually, I don't know how you make content that well. Comments? Well the only thing is that you may want to not keep the same grass texture as the satelite image, although you probably know that :hehe: and do the trees really get that close to the monorail tracks. I might be wrong (went to a different disneyland), but I think they'd be lower right? In any case, it's great. Keep up the good work :)
Eric :)

Grass textures? You mean the base map? It really only a reference map for accuracy and placement. All the buildings are made with sketchup and exported with the new plugin recently released. Sktechup is pretty easy to model buildings in and works very well since it works along with google earth for proto builing scales. Very easy to model and export efficiently. I am still learning a more formal program in hopes of creating proto monorails though.

As for the trees, in reality they are a climbing plant or bush that encloses the support and on occasion they do get very close to the guard and beam.

cheers

@Jimbiglion Check your PM, if you have any more questions I would be happy to answer them :)

I realized the last picture is a bit dated and to be honest, boring... here are a few new shots for ya...

I will be taking a trip down there this comming week so I will be taking alot of photos for textures and such.... and the back to work!

cheers

Sorry but a Newb has to ask this question... Ive gone through almost all of the 16 pages of this thread I still haven't figured out, is this route available for download??? Also, I might not be able to help with the building of items (Im on a mac) but, having worked at the "big D" I can help out with any back/on stage questions you might have.

I must also say this route is looking really great. Its too bad that something like this is not supported by Disney itself for all the fans out there.

Thanks for any information!

Don't worry about it, this thread is a bit hard to follow because there are two different restarts of the same route. As of now, the route is not released, I am currently working on buildings for the route and it takes a little more time than I would like it to:hehe:. Thank you for your offer to help, I am curious, what information would you be able to supply having worked there? Shoot me a PM and we can talk a little more about this. As for the route, not much has happend, I've recently returned from a trip down there, so I have got some good Photo textures...

New beams, not quite finished, but still getting there...

Pretty good there Ish! Spent quite a bit of time swamped with school, but it has been prety nice project wise over the summer months. Lately my focus has been on texture work on my other route but I have been playing around with the Disneyland map a bit more lately.

Here is the redesigned beamways in game. Next up will be the supports, getting a facelift including HD photo textures:

I quite like the concrete textures though...

I'll see if I can't get some more recent shots done to show some of the other progress.

Still I have to admit I havent spent as much time learning formal modeling programs as I would have liked to....

cheers!
