I am in the process of digitizing all of my copies of Mainline Modeler. However I do not have a complete set. I am willing to trade one of my digital copies for one you may have that is not part of my collection. I will also return to you a digitized copy of the issue you provide. If interested, send me a PM and we can work out the details.

I'll dig what few copies I have out. I'd love to have a set of those

Next week I will be posting a list of my copies and which ones I have digitized. I takes me from four to six hours per copy to prepare, edit and stitch fold-out and inserted pages. All copies are searchable and the images can be imported into 3DMax, Gmax and Blender as background images.

I completed the digitization process for ALL issues of MainLine Modeler. The CD is now available at the C&O Historical Society.

Would there be any problem with copyright infringement for these digitized copies? Just curious. The reason I ask is that I scanned all my issues of Model Railroader track diagrams. There are on my HD and will stay there just because of that issue.

I don't think so. Contact the C&O Historical Society for clarification. If they are not for sale and your use only, in my opinion, there is no problem.

Even if not for actually sale, even giving away scanned copies of your own magazines might be a violation. It's probably a moot point, but one to keep in mind. An example would be for me to make a copy of a favorite movie DVD for my own personal backup. If I gave that copy away, or made another one and gave it away then that person would have an illegal copy they didn't pay for. Splitting hairs, I know.
