Deleting textures

Suffering for his art.
How do I delete textures to get back to the original gray mesh you start with in TRS 2004. Its easier to view the terrain to adjust the hight in this mode.

Cheers Andy

Very much still learning. :)

You don't need to delete the textures, just move your mouse up o the top right corner in surveyor and you will see a small grid. Click on this and it will revert to the grid. Do what you need to do then click back.

This is wireframe mode which is different from the original grey grid. To get back to the original grid you will need to use a small program called Erazor. Search the forum for references to it and where to get it.

Cheers just what I was looking for. Wire frame mode is a little difficult to see, hills blend in with other hills and it gives me a headache

You can always delete the original textures via Trainz Objectz within the used objects list in map view. Right click the texture you wish to delete then follow the instructions

Do a forum search for ErazorA. Used with the correct mesh this will take you back to the grid on grey. Alternatively, look for 'Helper Mesh' on the DLS, that allows a far better and far more accurate assessment of your terrain changes.

I've just seen that Dave has pointed you to it. Try both, first try the Helper Mesh, if that is not to your taste, then use Erazor. Note that with the Helper Mesh you must set your scale to minimum and the direction pointer due North.
