Maybe you could use the wheels from Worksim's CPR H1d, 2858, All the CPR H1bs and H1ds, and H1es Hudsons had the same driving wheel diameter, 75 inches . You just need an attachment point that lines up with those wheels attachment point from Worksim's 2858 or tigerko's 2860 reskin. Line up the main wheels with your 2816 boiler and cylinders so the pistons properly come out of the cylinders, and then you can use a prexisting bogey for your drivers. The the pilot wheels and trailing bogey are the same size, so you can use those, you just need to have 2816 configured to have the right attachment points so the wheels don't float, or attach off centre and be inches over the rails to one side.

after all, the engines were all H1 hudsons, so besides the semi-streamlining, they are all the same.

The later variants were built as oil, where as 2816 was converted. The H1ds and es also had different superheaters and cylinder sizes (2" bore difference), but for the wheels and other parts they are the same.

Well, how about this:

I think it would be easier if I edit the CPR H1d mesh into an H1b mesh. Alright? (And how do you make an .im mesh editable in gmax?)

The cylinders will be too large, the chimney will be streamlined and double, the dome will be too small, the streamlined sides will come all the way to the pilot, whereas 2816's come as far down as one step. I too don't think it is possible to edit a .im, and it would require substantial redesign, however the wheels would be fine.

Thank you, when I was little 2816 was making her rebirth and I saw many programmes about her first runs and she is my favourite CPR Steam loco, and my favourite Canadian mainline, only beaten in the whole country by Prairie Dog Central 3 which I also saw when I was little and she left a bigger mark, but being an 1886 4-4-0 does not run mainline, so that leaves 2816, and I knew trouble was coming when Hunter Harrison came, and I hate him every time he says he hates steam. Thank you for the compliment.

I hope no one will buy it, no body should have the heart to buy it, because they will have to take it away from CPR, her home.Harrison is retiring in 2017, his attitude will stay behind like it has at CN, but maybe it will fade and CPR will still have her and bring back excursions. Harrison can't sell her yet, he has dropped the price $600,000 and nobody has purchased her.

That is a very low price for a freaking train!!!! He'll I'd buy it I was rich...

I use the interior from the NKP Berkshire/C&O Kanawha, as it has a cutoff wheel as 2816 does, where as Bigsteam has a power reverse lever. I guess Auran just didn't do their research to find that American engines don't have cutoffs, because I have seen the cab of 2716, 1225, 765, and another Kanawha and they all have power reverse levers, but for 2816 the cab works great as it has green walls like 2816, a cutoff wheel like 2816, vertical throttle, etc. So for any one with that PAYWARE addon you should change it afterwards. misterb11 will not be able to release it with that, but he could put Bigsteam, add a read me file in the folder that suggests you change it to the Berkshire interior for a more realistic experience, and have the kuid to copy and paste into the config listed there.

I know this is a little late, but the interior from N3V's set is in fact accurate for the PM 1225. C&O Kanawahas also have a wheel. A number of B&O, NYC and PRR engines used wheel's as well. So they kind of did do their research.

This is C&O 2716's cab:

Well I decided that (I'm sorry, Steve and USLW.:() I'll use CN 3254's Boiler. Btw, look closely. Do you see any differences?

On the very first page of this thread someone already did this, and it looks pretty decent. Maybe you can send him a private message and ask him to send you a copy.

Well, you're talking about rwk's kidbash attempt. Well, the bogeys will be different, Steve.

And, after this, I'll make a B&O EM-1 reskinning Auran's N&W Y6b. But, the EM-1s are 2-8-8-4s, so I might want to use the trailing trucks of your N&W 1218 when it comes out. OK?

His kitbashing attempt? And what is your N&W Y6 into a B&O EM1 mashup? Not a kitbash? Rob did EXACTLY what you just said you were going to do.

And no you won't use my 1218 because it's a payware asset. Move along.
