Copyright Infraction

I posted a Copyright Infraction advisory on the Help Desk on Sept 3 which was Closed without any notice to me. As a result of this, I posted another advisory on Sept 9 which again has generated no feedback but at least it is still open.

Has anybody had a similar experience and can perhaps offer a suggestion as to why Copyright infractions are not treated with some degree of urgency?

Thx. Colin.

I had clones removed from the DLS within 48 hours, so yes they take it seriously, if you provide all the information and proof.

Might do better with copyright Infringement.

Interestingly enough, my initial Help Desk note was entitled Copyright Infringement. I have PM'd the offending user asking on what authority the route was cloned and uploaded but no response to date. Perhaps I am missing something?????? It is my Gwladys Ddu route which has been cloned and uploaded carrying the same name! I really don't know where to go from here short of sending them a registered letter and possibly following up with legal representation. Any more thoughts? Regards. Colin.

Thought that was the one Colin, had a look when I saw your post, same guy has cloned one of Paulzmays routes which has been removed at creators request.

Hopefully Zec will see this thread, at a guess there is someone on the helpdesk not aware they are supposed to deal with this.

Hi Colin
I do apologise for not looking at your ticket, I will make sure it's looked at today. We've been extremely busy, and seems that it may have become lost in among the other tickets. If you don't receive a reply today, please submit a new ticket to the 'DLS and First Class Ticket' department, however I will try to make sure we do look into it for you today.

Again, we apologise for the delay in looking into this for you.

Regards

Hi Zec (and any other 3rd party creators who are following this) - I am pleased to advise that all is now resolved. I have duly completed the customer satisfaction survey and, for obvious reasons, was critical of the process and trust that someone will investigate and address whatever issues they find. To have to raise two tickets and then go onto a public forum to get some action is hardly a model that shows interest in customer issues and, when it involves copyright infringement, it is absolutely unacceptable. Thx again Zec for getting things moving.
Regards. Colin.
