Content Manager refusing to download? No TANE items??

Hello all, I haven't really played Trainz since 2012 and got 2019 a bit ago but hadn't the chance to really get into it. I seemingly am missing a lot of deps from "Additional TANE Assets for TRS19" and my content manager has started to just loop with "connection interrupted." it's not my Wi-fi nor is it a restriction, as they never had any previous issue. I'm not sure if I just have a bunk copy or what lol. Any advice?

Your antivirus may be interrupting the downloads. You need to exclude your TRS19.exe and your data-folder from your antivirus real-time scanning. Antivirus programs see the content being extracted from the compressed download folders and scans them while they're being installed. For pictures and documents this is fine but for Trainz content this interrupts the content installation and causes corruption.

The other thing to look at is your internet connection. While you have a "good WiFi" connection, make sure TRS19 is allowed through the firewall. It should be if you allowed it during the installation. You need to check the settings in Windows Control Panel under Network.

Now for some bad news. If you are using T-Mobile, they will kill the downloads. Some people have had luck with a VPN connection while others have not.

Hope this helps.

No T-Mobile here! I'll see about looking into that, but I swore I have no antivirus to speak of period. I disabled that non-sense to stop my computer from being bloated.

If you are running Windows, there's the built-in Windows Defender and that can't be permanently disabled without doing some system hacking. Other antivirus applications on the other hand such as McAfee and Norton are a big problem due to blocking everything.

Windows Defender has been disabled since 2018, I have no anti-virus besides Malwarebytes, and firewall allows both Tz12 and 2019. Not sure what else it could be.

Also should mention this is Win10, not 11.

Windows 10 doesn't matter. Malwarebytes is still an antivirus program. If that's running any kind of real-time checking that could interrupt the .exe from doing its job as well as halting and corrupting the download from the DLS. This will terminate your connection.

Just checked and it's not running real time unfortunately. Just restarted my computer and it still shows as
; <kuid2:103021:100106:2> : Unable to download asset <kuid2:103021:100106:2>. Connection interrupted.
or so no matter the cdp.

That asset is packaged are you sure this is the one?

Try something else, anything and a very small asset and see if that works.

Tried just again, and No matter the asset it refuses to download. And, yes as mentioned I'm pretty sure I'm missing content that should prob be part of the game. Reinstalling didn't help nor did rebuilding database.
Additionally the only way I can seemingly get files is through manual install.

Managed to get a photo.

Have you tried a clean database?
You can keep your existing install.

Close TRS19 if you have it open.

Make an empty folder.
Start TRS19
At the Launcher, click on Trainz settings
Click on the Install tab.
Copy the path located in the window.
Paste that information to a text file for later to be able to get to your installed content.
Click on the 3-dots.

Browse to the folder you created and select it.

You can skip the graphics setup since this doesn't matter.

TRS19 will want to restart. Do so.

My memory is a bit vague here... I can't remember if you need to put in your user info now or have to later. If not, follow along here.

You'll be prompted to configure the firewall again.
Click on Trainz Settings again.
Click on Internet tab
Put in your login information.

When all is setup, open Content Manager and try downloading. Pick something small to test.

Attempted to start and now all of my Trainz windows are off my monitor. This program really likes me today. If i can manage to actually access them again I'll attempt the rest

That's weird!

There's another thing to do on your PC, and out of TRS19 to try first. I thought of this while I was taking care of some chores.

Since you've tried downloading multiple times, there's probably junk in the temp folders.

Empty your Windows temporary folders.
Empty the following folder:

TRS19-user-date (The build folder)/Cache/Internet

This has all the downloads you've downloaded before they are installed. Usually, they are cleared each time you login, but if things don't go right this will cause weird things to happen.

Okay! Finally managed to fix and and did a fresh database. But it STILL refuses. I seriously think it just doesn't like me lol.

This is nuts. Seriously!

Are you logged in?
Have you tried a wired connection?

N3V did have a server issue and reset things yesterday while you were trying and that didn't help.

The reason, as I see it, is that those assets are part of a DLC package.
