This has to be one of the most detailed routes I've seen! :udrool: I would buy Trainz 2009 just to run this route! It's that good. Keep up the great work. Is this route freeware? Because it's good enough to be payware!
Hi Kyle, thanks for the kind comments. I wouldn't dare to release as payware, as I have not created any custom content for it yet. Looking at your computer specifications however, it is more than enough to run the route with smooth framerates.
Evan123, I'm not sure how one goes about counting polys, but it's rather detailed with a higher emphasis on individual objects rather than splines. I'm currently using a Phenom X3 processor and ATi 4850 graphics card. I build at 1440x900 but lower the resolution to 1280x768 in Driver to compensate for AI and physics.
Both achieve framerates in the high 20s to 100s in dense and sparse regions respectively and still looks good when stretched on a 22" with forced Catalyst 24x AA and 16x AF.
yoderscoot, it's "Building RR Workshops kuid:523:100967", TS09 built-in I believe.
Thank you William. The 5m grid does allow for more detailed texturing and terrain. Not sure about others though.
Well, the increased draw distances and the amazing level of detail while still maintaining good frames are two that are obvious from the screenshots. Have you made use of any of the ground textures that are available for TS2009? I would love to see what you could do with them.
I know this thread is pretty old. And I know the author of the route is still around.
But can you tell me what happened to this awesome route. Did your computer crash and this got erased? I would love to see this uploaded even if it was incomplete.
