CM 3.3 Won't Download Anything Over 2.50 MB

Hello. More Content Manager issues...

For whatever reason, I cannot download anything on the DLS over 2.50 MB in CM 3.3. This only happens on my internet. I can go to anyone else's house and download anything, no matter the size.

In detail, the download progress bar will fill completely, but the download speed will jump down 0, but the top of the download helper will continue to say "Downloading..." but if I cancel the download the asset won't be installed into the game.

Again, this happens to everything on the DLS over 2.50 MB, which cuts me off from nearly everything.

Any help will be appreciated.

It's your IP's fault, no amount of fiddling you do on your end will fix it.

I've been there and done that. And getting a FCT doesn't help. Only thing I can suggest is to borrow other people's internet until your IP fixes the problem. Unless you have a desktop...then you're stuck.

Try using an alternative DNS server rather than your ISP's. Often helps with poor connection problems.
openDNS http://www.opendns.com/opendns-ip-addresses/ or Googles DNS server https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/ are both free and work well and in my case far better than my old ISP. Current one is fine.

I agree with the others here. You are suffering from ill internet service. There are many things that can cause this.

1) Check your router. Your actual in house cable box/router could be flaky.

2) Talk to your cable company. They may have to replace something on the utility pole outside your house.

3) On Wireless? Check for interference.

4) Wired? Check that your cable is in good shape - i.e. no broken connector clips, crimped cable, etc.

5) Firewall settings.

6) Antivirus firewall settings.

7) The alignment of the stars and moon.
