You must be doing something wrong, I just redownloaded the DDA40X and imported the .cdp into TC and works fine in Railyard.

Aussie: I tried to change the name via the config.txt file, and that appears to have made it not liked by TRS. I reinstalled it without editing it and it works perfectly.
