Class 378 Capitalstar & London Overground Line

IT is for the price I paid. No air conditioning, no air recirculation, no power steering, no ABS, no traction control, had no tacometer and temp sensor (Its got those now and an oil gauge as I changed the dashboard), no electric windows, manual sunroof, 13" steelies, 1149cc engine thats multipoint fuel injection.

It does have a radio, a 3 speed blower and everything else you'd expect. Its also got a diagnostics port for a computer. I just wish I could get a car with air conditioning, after last summer.

As for platforms, 1.3m is about right, roughly, newer platforms are slightly higher, due to the disiblity discrimination act (RVAR) while older platforms maybe as low as 1ft!! And yes, there is a place that you have to board via steps, 2 feet worth.

Wow a lot of work hard to go into that car! O_O Well at least it's better then before....

And okay, I'll build most of these at the 1.4~ height.
Wow you have to climb to get into the train! lol

Cheers,
Snake

EDIT: Hey guys, I've set up a site for us: http://lofortrainz.webs.com/
BTW it's still a WIP... I've only got 2 pages up... and I'm doing it all in Dreamweaver but keep checking back as i'll be doing a lot this weekend... and hopefully I can get some of the stations on there as I'm making it... (In the Updates area)

I wouldn't deal with dreamweaver, why? Its hard to change anything if you change the look of your site and if you add more sections. Look at wordpress, joomla or some other content manage,et system.

Yeah true, but there is some add-ons I can use which allow me to add things and stuff... (although not as good as joomla, wordpress, etc..)
Fraid not. I'll post here if I do hear anything.
Okay mate :)

Look up the method "evolutionary prototyping". Start with a section you know the best, use the DEM data and just scene that part, when done, do the next part.

OK, just to make sure I got the right one is it this program? http://www.softdevteam.com/Evolutionary-lifecycle.asp

Also I'm getting an error in ts2010 with that file you sent me...:

Warning: Progressive meshes are no longer supported by Trainz. Though these meshes may work in Trainz, it is recommended that you switch to a LOD mesh.

Error: Unable to load mesh file: 'Dellner_coupling_shadow\Dellner_coupling_shadow.pm'

I've got a lot of these errors with other locos and objects... :( What could be the problem?

For this error you need to use PEV's PMtoIM tool and his QuickShadow tool.

Hi Nathan,

thanks for the link and help, but I've done what need to be done to the pm file and now i have 2 .im files one named shadow and another of the asset, but I'm still getting the error... do I need to edit the config file or ????

Cheers,
Reece

Best thing to do is in CMP, right click the asset and select open in Content Creator. Expand the list shown on the left and change the linked .pms in the mesh table to the new .im's.

Hey guys/girls,

Just been playing around making the track for part of the route.

This is what it looks like now...

What you guys think? still need to add the 3rd rail then I'm going to export it into gmax or blender and then give it a test on trainz... (BTW this is the track i'm making: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/26/Unit_378225_at_Haggerston.jpg )

Cheers,
Snake

Is that a good or a bad thing? But what do you think?
(I should of posted a image of the whole track not just one side of the rail and concrete sleepers....)

Cheers,
Snake

Personally, I think the profile of the railhead neeeds to be changed slightly, but beware, the more detail you add, the more its likely to slow down your system, hence why most rails on most track are simply big boxes.

Cheers for the thought, I might make a high detailed one and one with just a box track... :)

Try the content creators guide.. http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=13474

Although for TC3, its still applicable for TS2010.

This is for the newer TS2010 method
