I know enough about computers to be dangerous. I haven't toasted one yet, but I guess given time it could happen. I'm hoping in the next month or so to amass enough parts from Newegg to build a machine that should run TANE in a respectable manner.
I have a question: Would the 6600 M6 do just as good a job as the 6600K 6M? Details below. It seems like a silly question to me, but then I have purchased things in the past that I thought were on par and found out later they were not, so I come seeking wisdom from others.
The CPU that was recommended is the Intel i5 6600K 6M3.5GHz and can be over clocked. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117561 but to save some money, $50.00, I was looking at the i5 6600 6M 3.3GHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117562 I'm not a gamer so I really don't see any reason for over clocking anything and would be better off saving the money or using it to increase my RAM from 8 to 16GB. I plan to use a GTX 970 video card.
Thanks.
Regards,
