My SSI checks came in a few weeks ago, so I decided to FINALLY get my PC up to spec for Trainz 2019 and up, as well as my various modeling apps and high end games.

The motherboard I went with is a GIGABYTE B650 Eagle AX AM5 LGA 1718 AMD B650 ATX, DDR5 Triple M.2, PCIe 5.0, USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C, AMD Wi-Fi 6E, Realtek GbE LAN
Amazon link > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083TZ68H1

RAM is by Kingston > Kingston Technology Kingston Fury Beast 64GB (2x32GB) 6000MT/s DDR5 CL36 Desktop Memory Kit of 2 | AMD Expo | Plug N Play | ‎KF552C36BBEK2-64
Amazon link > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BRTKRXCZ

Boot drive is a 2 terabyte NVME M.2 stick > Kingston KC3000 M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express 4.0 x4 3D TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SKC3000D/2048G
Newegg link > https://www.newegg.com/kingston-2tb...jEwNi4xLjEuMTc0MDM3NjExOS4wLjAuMTQ3OTg3NDAxNw..

Processor is a Ryzen 7 series > AMD Ryzen 7 8700G 8-Core, 16-Thread Desktop Processor with stock cooler (for now)
Amazon link > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQ4JBKW3

GPU is still the RTX 3060 I bought last year.

I also retain my hybrid SSD at 1 terabyte, my WD Black 7200 rpm drive at 4 Terabytes (where Trainz 2019 is installed.) and my WD Green drive at 4 terabytes.

Added two fans, one input, one output, as I can't run my Cooler Master water system until I get an AM5 mount for it. Total two input, two output. Will eventually be 3 Input, and 4 output once the Water system gets re-mounted.

Fans are > Thermaltake Ring 14 High Static Pressure 140mm Circular LED Ring Case/Radiator Fan with Anti-Vibration Mounting System Cooling CL-F039-PL14BU-A Blue
These are the same fans that came with my RiinG set for the Cooler Master system.

Kept the same oversize Full ATX case, 650 power supply, DVD Burner (which I hardly EVER use these days. Keyboard is a Logitech MX KEYS Illuminated board.
Mouse is a Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball
Speakers are Logitech Z200 Stereo PC Speakers.

Long term, or rather medium term, is to add another NVME stick @4 terabytes in size, and one or two more 4T on the PCIE slots. I can have up to 5 SSD's, Two NVME, 3 PCIE.
Right now 4 terabyte SSD's are too spendy
If Ryzen 9 processors get cheaper, I'll buy one as well.

So far the new build runs great !

I can run TRS2019 at full ultra with high FPS, no stuttering, fast camera movement, and all my routes (so far) look fantastic.
I'll post some video later today.

Windows 11 takes some getting used to, but works well, while some of my non MS apps have now developed quirks, like Brave Browser constantly crashing.

Really nice build Rico. I am not familiar with the 8700G, how well does it prevent bottlenecking with the 3060? I want to switch to AMD myself, I've been eyeing the 9900X which would replace my aging i9-9900K and balance out my 3080Ti.

@AFdude06 >>> Not sure about bottlenecking. Can you be more specific? The 8700G is an AMD CPU, and you're using an Intel machine.

EDIT: This might answer your bottleneck question : https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1w8185/1/general-tasks/
