Morning Derek,

thanks for sharing those great picts. The last one even brought me to quick check golden yard North to rectify a bump in the 2 outside tracks and make it more gradually.
This time i try to use a rolling rotate few degrees on the switches there to make them follow a slope and see if that works. Let me know once uploaded this suits you too.
Djoetje slept for a second night on our bed at our feet and not flinched and stayed till the morning is'nt that beautiful?? Hey your picts with the birds most beautiful but most be cold for them even with feathers, they love the feeding too.
Today more works on the textures towards Wapta lake. It is like 2 steps forward one backward when I each time want to improve things and many times it does so that is the goal, we are not in a big hurry and want to deliver a good product.

Friday we go Bangkok and Thusday I will upload the CPr 1.03, that is what's in the planning.

Have a great week

Ning, roy n Djoetje:wave:

Hi bob,

long time but it is more me not strolling the forum anymore to busy my health and working on my project #2 to finsih soon.
Thanks for the nice post and well Mountain building is in essence using Roland's Transdem for prototypical effect as far as possible.
That not mean its done than you still need to have the time and endurance of make it work and fit for the purpose but I not for sure not model them manually now way that would work. Your skills are improving from the shots I saw a while ago so keep up the good work and for mountains get Transdem it saves a lot of time but still a lot of digging afterwards haha.

Roy

fixed the bump and tested the switches OMG the spline bug

....... rant over I deleted the content and move on.
It should work if not well the promised TS12 patch for sure will fix everything not working well right N3V?
Almost one hour just to get one switch working in driver......ouch.
ok that is it.

Runthat/Thomascbc any progress on your CMTM project to make it work for our routes? Curious and anxious to get my hands on this thing to play with it.
Would be nice running consists over several routes in and out to final destination.

Roy:)

Back to a single track

The Canadian is leaving the yard in Golden back onto the single track heading eastward.

It is traveling along the beautiful lower canyon of the Kicking Horse River. For the history buffs, the pass was first explored by Europeans in 1858 by the Palliser expedition led by Captain John Palliser The pass and the adjacent Kicking Horse River were given their names after James Hector, a naturalist, geologist and surgeon who was a member of the expedition, was kicked by his horse while exploring the region

Thank goodness, I've always loved that name. Imagine if he had only stubbed his toe. What would it be called then. :hehe:

Cheers,

Derek

Morning Derek,

nice and cold shots like yours :cool:is what we need here. this winter or what is last of it is now at night 26-28 and feels like 30 daytime 38C! so alase no winter anymore.

Roy

Morning Steve,

got your mail, thanks for the comment and yes the sand pit was the first thing when discovered how clean the industry track was "cut" out and gone never seen back again haha but shoudl woerk now allowing users to set it up to your liking.
Also the bump at Golden yard North is repaired.
Tomorrow we are on the road again for 8 plus hours going south to civilisation, this time probably for 2 weeks looking for real doctors.
Have a great week end.

Roy

Morning Steve,

Thanks I do my best to make this work but takes longer than expected.
Can you tell if you ever tried the session thing you asked about a while ago using it in the smaller route or vice versa.
Have a nice weekend!

Roy,Ning, Djoetje (home alone)

No, I never tried it. I've only got the big route, and there didn't seem to be much point once you said you weren't updating the small ones (which decision I completely understand ...)

Bridges and Tunnels

Back onto the single track east of Golden there are a series of tunnels and bridges along the Kicking Horse River (or Kicking Rock as 64warhorse suggested :hehe:). Below is an "Eagles" eye view (your choice Bald or Golden.....Eagle that is) of the Kicking Horse River and The Canadian crossing one bridge after going through a tunnel. Magnificent virtual scenery for sure.

The engine is starting to cross the next bridge over the Kicking Horse River.

trainz2013022616384963.jpg

The Canadian has almost crossed the bridge as it enters the next tunnel.

Soon we'll be reaching the end of the eastward journey through the Mountain subdivision. It has been a fantastic journey so far. Maybe there will be a few more surprises up ahead. :)

Cheers,

Derek

Hi Ning, Roy and Djoetje:

Roy thank you for the nice comments. I could not resist posting the following screenies to show you and everyone how marvelous your "virtual" world is.

The Canadian is traveling at night under a bridge on the Trans Canada Highway. I am sure that those might be the "North Lights", aurora borealis, in the night sky.

trainz2013030316463790.jpg

This scene I find quite stunning with the light gleaming off of the snow along the Kicking Horse canyon.

trainz2013030316465022.jpg

Looking northeast we can see the awesome star-filled night sky. And notice the construction ongoing under the bridge.

trainz2013030316471103.jpg

The Dome car at the back of the train gleams in the night.

trainz2013030316391263.jpg

The Canadian is dwarfed by the lower canyon of the Kicking Horse River but on this beautiful night it still "shines" away.

trainz2013030316422654.jpg

I hope these images indeed encourage you to keep up the work on the next route. All of Roy's Trainz family is looking forward to the Laggon subdivision.

Cheers,

Derek
