That's some spectacular texture work Roy.
Very fitting to the route you are modeling, always happy to see your updates very inspiring!!!, looking forward to blazing a 3000+ ton freight though this map looks like big fun.

Andrew

Hey Andrew,

good to see you around and believe me i am not joking when saying getting that awesome shiver/goosebumps feeling running these monster fully loaded consists up and down 2%plus grades, tunnels and views just beyond believe really.
Thanks so much for your support and comment as you are one of my raw models:cool: from way back 2004 love your stuff and once in a while I look around but am so darn busy with my own stuff getting done!
I am/was/still are? an avid alpine skier since I was 3 years old could almost ski before walk and skate before talk:hehe: and the downhill powder snow, black slope off track no mans land alice in wonderland feeling is same here. I love mountains and promised Ning soon when all done and released and successful we will visit the area I have never seen in person:o but who cares so many confirm my feelings and detail for how those mountains should look and some picts and google earth seem to do the job right?

thanks again,

Ning n Roy:wave:

Sweeeeeet!

thanks for your interest and time
Thanks for yet again entertaining us with some very nice screenies.

I think you once asked for comments / suggestions; here is one:
Looking at the river in the 2nd image I see those dead tree's spread all over the river in groups of 1 or 2. It feels unrealistic to have the same size (dead) tree evenly spread out over a shallow river, so I think it might be better to have less groups and then have 1 or 2 "corners" where they pile up.
I hope that this comment makes sense to you and that this is the kind of comment you were looking for.

Roy & Ning, just one question and I'm sure it's been asked before but I really didn't want to look through 36 pages to find the answer. Will this route run in T10? Thanks.

Yes love your observation and ask for more dead pines sizes n 3D

Hey morge Okker Notsen,
call you this way since i don't know your real name that's ok for u?
thanks for the sweeet reply and good observations!.
Here is my observation with respect to dead trees for beetle pine infested forests (see internet), in the DL we still do not have some variety even 2D nice pine dead once different length, shape not even talk of 3D.... so i use what comes close and put and replace at a later stage when more comes available if any. Water levels on my trainz river are low and so you see indeed more of the same trees:hehe::o (shut up i say to myself this guy is right and love observations from outside).
I will try some more pileups and lower a few loners left and right see if that does the job, otherwise take some out again and will post some picts on the results:D

Bedankt! je ziet r ne toffe gast uit zouden ze in Belgie zeggen:wave:

regards,

Ning n Roy;)

thank you, krop khun krap in Thai

Ning:cool:

Theoretically yes TS2010 should work but.......

Roy & Ning, just one question and I'm sure it's been asked before but I really didn't want to look through 36 pages to find the answer. Will this route run in T10? Thanks.

sorry for this late answer somehow got in a corner but here is my opinion:

Since many objects used in this route are "updated" to ts12 and or 2010 version but checking over more than 3k objects which work pretty well to perfect in ts12 I could only suggest to make the move to TS12 especially now where N3V offers 50% off as a reward for the 500k member reached.
To be honest if you aks me there price setting for what they deliver today and keep as good as possible in good shape for that money is almost an insult and not in sync with what one has to accomplish to make and maintain. Saw a thread where some dude claims why the price is so high and makes a hole in his wallet is almost a joke and not fair even to put out there as a serious question/remark whatever.

so dear Stouthm I can only stress you to make the move to TS12 and find out what a different world compared to 2010 you get for that price and wonder afterwards why you not made that decision earlier.

Trust my judgement as I have and will never have any liason or link with N3V and judge independently and honest to fellow trainzer.
My experience which I think is supported by evidence few trainzers can provide to show why TS12 is top of the shelve as long as your hardware is also in sync with what one might expect to be average or better than a minimum config barely capable supporting features needed.
Good luck and hope to say welcome to you soon at the TS12 trainzers lounge.

Best regards,

roy:)

Roy, with your glowing praise of TS12 in a previous post I ordered TS12 before the announcement with the 50% off. Just my luck. I will let you know what I think of it after I get it up and running. I bought it just for your route.

Stouthm speechless and grateful for your reply

Dear Trainzer friend this a kind of reply you get only from best friends you know for years in real life.
when I post things it comes from the heart and are always meant well even if harsh at times when I feel injustice happened.
If you bought TS12 just before the 50% discount ask N3V for consideration of the 50% even thought you bought just before receiving the message.
What they offer now is a thank you to trainzers to cross the 500k member line so I would expect they would honor your request and don/t be shy to ask them your are a honorable faithful customer.
TS12 will run better and probably much better after tweaking and setting the options well on any good average computer for sure.
I was more than happy despite some nasty bugs(not fixed) still harassing me until now finishing my work on this one.
Ning and I say a humble big thank you for you buying TS12 just for my route.
I not had in mind already to state secrets but there is a second one in the pipeline TS12 ready probably Q4 called the #5 route Ottertail/Field to Calgary just before winter in the western world and will be maybe even more awesome to drive and play than this one (personal opinion) but Ning says both together via Iportal are one big thrill you will see!!!!). Ning says its ok to tell people they should know already what much more than can expect the upcoming years from me already in the pipeline only waiting to be finished if the Revelstoke to Field route #4 is successfully finished and accepted by the Trainz world.

Thanks again and keep us updated on N3V discount and TS12 how it works now.

If we can be of any help just call our helpdesk Ask-Ning line :hehe::p kidding.

warmest regards,

Ning n Roy:wave:

Roy and Ning, isn't this a great forum? I've conversed with many members here and do consider them my friends. I've asked N3V about the 50% offer through the helpdesk and was told that someone will get back to me shortly. I will not hold my breath. I will keep you updated as long as you keep posting those beautiful screenshots.

Ning and I promise to keep posting and we are sure N3V will honor this to you! Yes this forum is awesome and truly we make good trainz friends! and feel better than real life social contacts:hehe:
You know before we post picts I always discuss with Ning which one she likes so I not have that kind of tunnel vision look what I think is a great shot and compare to her ideas and look n feel which seem to work, although many times on the screenshot contest when I truly think I posted a really great shot (looking at the angle, composition and difficulty to achieve at all the scene) many times or most times people's response is far from what I feel for that particular picture as a whole but hey this is a fun screenshot competition and not a battle for life and good to see more and more nice shots reach the forum in the contest.

regards

Roy:)
