Great seeing some new screens! It seems Battlefield 3 won't be the only game to reap the benefits (Ok, well that went without saying I guess) of the huge system upgrade I'm planning to buy when that game gets released!

thanks guys

@Euphod

morning Ed thanks for the welcome back after a week of other things to do and wonna do. Yes its good to be back at the command centre with fresh idea's and energy

@Tyard

Hi thanks for the nice compliment only not understand your battlefield 3 post. You probably missed from forum here right but no problem:hehe:
Always nice to hear from you guys.

@Euphod

Ning is very excited to see the Trainz newspaper and surprised to see a shot of my route on there, very flattered to say the least:cool:

Back to work and finishing East Revelstoke (i hope)

regards

Roy n Ning;)

Oh, yes, I was just joking how the computer upgrades I am planning to get to make BF3 run better, will certainly be handy for this route (and, well, TRS in general). :p

Thanks,
tyard

very flattered by your post Tyard

wow that makes me very humble and blush. thank you for that nice comment.
Today i reached the illecillewaet river to "complete east revelstoke"
next step is west revelstoke and the golf course and than the south east side with the airport before tackling Big Eddy and onwards west.
i will try to put a few picts of the progress to keep my loyal fans up to date:cool:

thanks again all of you for the kind support and nice posts.

nice google earth reference for consists at revelstoke

today i share with you some of to many nice corners (wip). i have to restrict myself to put just a few shots as almost from any corner it looks nice even with redraw spoiling the party to many times for nothing as my computer can handle things easily ( it shows and than the program lock decided to redraw and give me a finger so to speak ugly but true). N3V if you by accident look at this post understand my request for easier and personal redraw options would help a lot and makes life so much nicer

OK back to the bright side of Trainz:

Roy: You are doing the nicest work on your route..One of my biggest problems is , I start work on a route and I get Bored With it and I go and look at pictures, for ideas..But not you..I sure admire your concentration and desire to do things..Nice work my friend, nice work..

morning bob

morning(evening) bob! thanks for your constructive comment and yes getting bored is a signal for something missing to give that push forward in hard times.

My secret to share on this is easy and simple

  1. Make a route prototypical if enough info to work on and google earth as reference.
  2. make goals/targets
  3. go day by day and yes on a prototypical you still can do fantasy things within the limits of it of course.
  4. keep concentrated and focused and if bored hop to another area that needs attention and to be finished
  5. discipline and have fun at the same time gives energy
  6. share with friends and listen to what they say or not say (even more important for hints)
  7. Get yourself if possible TS12 it is just one "expensive"(?) meal skipped and fun for years to come and of course keep your computer in excellent shape and that is probably to skip a few more things but it pays of 1 thousand times in fun and appreciation of the work you do and the results you get!
almost look like my ten commandments:hehe: for trainz

have a good night sleep and fresh start tomorrow Bob

"Anyone can draw a picture worthy of hanging on a refrigerator, but only a true artist can draw a picture worthy of a desktop..."

What can i say Ed

"Anyone can draw a picture worthy of hanging on a refrigerator, but only a true artist can draw a picture worthy of a desktop..."

Ed Wells August 18th, 2011:D

Ed you not only good in reskinning and modelling super stuff but your hang of saying/writing things is one of a kind.
i am not sure I deserve this so pass it on to Ning my loving and caring wife who each time sit with me for 1 or 2 hours taking shots, selecting, fighting yes.... no...:hehe: but finally agree yes even a WIP unfinished project looks nice with unfinished area's around and redraw spoiling the party(temp) to many times.

Bob if you read this your and Ed's, Tjard, Tume and many other nice folks let's call them Trainz friends give that surge of energy to do the next step in bad times. but no bad times I had only with splines in TS12 screwing up on road intersections and switches but as always I am pretty creative to find ways around to fix or avoid them till fixed.

thanks guys and till next photo session for Ed's fridge:hehe::cool:

Ning n Roy;)

Is this worthy a picture on the desktop i.o. the fridge ?

to honor my best Trainz friend Ed and yes many others:
without their objects this painting would be rather empty.

For those Fan's and interested fellow trainzers, yes of course this is way of the regular not far from track and train thing so what?
As Ed said very clear and well trainz is much more than just trainz it has to a serious extent flight simulator ambitions and even beyond that.
Trips, adventures, bush trips or gletscher skiing with arrow helicopters Revelstoke or as you can see in this pict I "finished the new snow powder hill gondola.
Just in time before the snow season starts soon!
I will have fun and panorama ski sessions similar to my route Field Calgary where making a brake for a ski weekend at Lake Louise is the virtual place to be on Roy'z Canadian Classics Routes!
If you like panorama views and just immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the Canadian rocky mountains 2011 please visit my thread and witness the amazing beauty of this region!!

Don't be shy to comment if you like or dislike what I show and write:)

morning UP5521 and Scratchy

thanks for the kind reply and questions!
The "disappearing trees has to do with the combination time of the day, good weather fog, viewing angle, draw distance lock.
Many times I surprise the program to see all i mean all the objects in far distance already drawn just to let N3v draw lock to kick in and spoil the party.
My computer and TS12 can handle this amount of data easily and should not need at all to restrict any draw distance set for top video cards. Hmm i get excited again.

So these little bit clumsy looking picts sometimes show this "transparent" dissapearing tree groups in not to far distance only in map area's with dense details. The main intention was to show progress on my route and not always on the perfect pict:eek:

Scratchy where was that pict taken? i will look in this route to find a similar area/look/view to make something similar:cool:

Thanks again and hope this comment helps understanding why things look different than normal.

Have a great weekend

Roy n Ning;)

As per Scratchy's request today

this might work and create same ambiance as pict you refer to CP Heron Bay Subdivision.

these shots are taken near abandoned tunnel Hot Spring Canyon:
this consist is 3 Sd90 and 100 double load container wagons.

Did this meet your expectations or did I fail the test?

Let me know, i know what I think and tell you later.
I will replace the faulty picts of a few days ago in this thread with treez with better once.
