Canadian Rocky Mountains 2011

just wake up Goooooood morning Ed and Tycoonk4

Head's up Roy; RRSignal has his nightmode versions of Subway, Starbucks, and others on the DLS black pages now.

what are the black pages from the DLS?? just checked RRsignal but not see what you refer to.

But Ed this is not an issue no hurry the route is not finished yet and I follow some personal prototypical rules where I try to put similar look and or feel buildings with reference toGoogle earth or pictures else.

Your brew crew models will find their final destination to many of of my cities in WIP to come and for sure Calgary, Vancouver greater area lots of need for them. Most thankful for them for sure my friends.

Tycoonk4 thanks for the very nice comment and interest in my work.
I did answer your question a few times dear Tycoonk4 in this thread about the "funny" looking chinese Ocemy Collection of loco's and rolling stock.

But no problem this collection is my personal #1 hig res good look and feel and error free and testing stuff at same time. His carriages even heavier but thought the containers are more generic for use anywhere in the world even with chinese (bring luck) symbols/characters.

Your last question you can for sure answer yourself: imagine it was you who made this and still WIP :o no offense really :)

Ed one more question To long I did any new objects and reskins:
Yesterday I got that urge again to make something myself (but takes to much time and the route get stuck on my timeline projections grrrrr:eek:
Josephpav wonderful superliners I 'd like reskinned in Roy'z Rocky Mountaineer livery and colors but forgot how to do the lettering other than regular text input (photoshop 6x). No I have no mesh or other stuff to work on just a basic dls dl tga to work with.
Any help advice very welcome.

Today I WILL show CP and CN stuff rolling thru Revelstoke I promise to those fans looking for that.

Also today I will post a little David Copperfield trick with the Railway museum as i have no 1 to 1 replica on the DLS only reference Google earth.

Back to work Ning says:hehe:

Roy

I always look forward to new shots, no matter what they are!
If I had any semblance of modelling skill, I'd make some nice freeware CN/CP stuff for you (not to say JRs isn't stunning, but some don't go for payware-myself included at the moment)! I'm working at 3ds slowly though, on occasion I boot up a tutorial and sooner or later I'll be familiar enough with it to do some projects myself.

my museum interpretation of Willem2 Wagga

First thanks Willem2 for this gem and like Ed yesterday with his creations i gave this one a different destination not necessarily worse a modern railway museum:hehe:

Cayden the Bear is loose and roars thru Revelstoke. Ning does not like the sound

Cayden the bridge i choose to use with modified road/walking/bike area will do the job very well and red suits the entire bridge composition now.

Roy, I think I read in an earlier thread that you were looking for some US houses. If that is so check these three gentlemen out: tlanders-kuid 87145, jfweaver-kuid 151142 and gfisher-kuid 106916. I'm sure you'll be able to use something from them.

thanks stouthm will look into that

yes they are on my list and in the routes where fit
thanks

Roy;)

Again some great shows!
I did have a question though (if you will excuse my severe lack of knowledge on the area, other then reading Wikipedia): I know that both Via Rail and the Rocky Mountaineer passenger trains run in the Rockies, the former (currently) using the northern route which was originally CN's Super Transcontinental, and the latter using (part) of the the old CPR Canadian line (up until Calgary) for one of it's routes. My question is if any of the parts of your route cover any of these lines, and if yes, if you will be adding passenger functionality to the route?

Well, so much for holding the passenger-nut in me back!

Thanks!
tyard

Hey Tyard Cayden is the historian on all this, not me

But i can tell you yes i will do passenger and goods traffic.
Mine goes Vancouver Waterfront ( all greater Vancouver area from White Rock US border to well North Of Horseshoe Bay all the way east via Mission, Hope, Yale, Kamloops, Sicamore, Revelstoke,Golden,Field, Lake Louise,Banff all the way to Calgary south. Later to be continued if this project is successful.
Connection to US Washington state via White Rock are also in the pipeline and from Vancouver north an option later if requested.
So my plate is covered nicely not to say full that depends on the viewing angle:hehe::hehe::p

Hope this info helps a little bit.
Anyone know of ways to reskin surfliner and/or superliner rolling stock to Rocky Mountaineer which I will call Roy'z Rocky Mountaineer

Roy;)

today only nightmode impressionz of Revelstoke WIP

when you would look at google earth and look the resemblance of buildings/look and feel this time I achieved very close resemblance of the real thing with existing items from the DLS.
Nightmode if you ask me is crucial for absolute ambience of the route as such
Let me know guys if you feel the same about what I try to say:

Revelstoke - I have been there!!!!!

Hallo Roy,

very nice timber company!! I like the muddy texture with the wheel spurs in it. This makes it very realistik looking. I can see the need to weare rubber boots :-)

I have been in Revelstock during my hollydays in 2002 when I spent three weeks in the canadian Rockys. I drove from place to place using a nice motor home and I did a lot of hiking and so on. Of course I used to be very bussy taking fotos and videos from CP, CN and BC trains.

I like to see my houses in that Revelstoke screen. Soon this houses will be redesigned to meet TS12 standarts. Originally I created the set of houses for the Avery - Drexel route back in TRS2006 times. Now I will have to put a better wood and roof texture as well as a bump map onto it. The improvement also will include season change.

I will enjoy playing with your route and to bring the feeling from my Canada - Tripp back into my mind - great work !!!

Your's TUME

Danke Tume

Hi Tume you've been there i only virtual but Google and Singha beer does the job:hehe::hehe: Ha ha you see your creations:cool: thanks again for sharing they make the scenery just look perfect. As you can see they fiond a good spot in this region!!
Thanks for the very nice compliments really you are one of those Trainz guys I would make a large detour to meet in real and talk about our common hobby.
Your route's as always have been superb during the years and now with TS12 coming i can imagine what level they will reach.
Can't wait to run those on my comp.

schones Wochenend oder Ferien??

Roy n Ning;)

swadee Jean kop khun maak khap

Excellent job Roy

I Give 5 stars.

Jean

Swadee Jean thank you very much and you started a nice route too but a lot of work/hobby fun ahead! i know your english is not there yet so if you need help on certain translations do not be shy and just ask.

Next week Ning and i go for the week to Pattaya for the bowling week and

I take my notebook with me just for some session testing on this route.
Yes it runs too on an Acer Travelmate 8200xxx 4 years now??

ATI graphics card forgot what type # but still works not superb but good enough to show most older computers can run this route.

If you want to see some stuff life c and we can meet come to Pattaya but confirm first here we stay in the Palace hotel just across the Marriot and royal garden mall.

see you

Roy n Ning:wave:

Holy cow Roy, it's looking fantastic. I appreciate all the subtle touches you use with lighting and placement to achieve such a realistic outcome! The picture of the "car wash" with the mist effect is wonderful. Thank you, you honor my creations very much!:)

Most humbly thank you for such a praising comment

Ning is very excited how people react and so proud.:hehe::cool:

I repeat myself, without the enormous library of excellent objects this route had no chance of getting created, its that simple. Even if i tried to make all myself, the timeline would be insane:eek: to even get close to half way.

That said i little tap on my own shoulder not of arrogance but by all means you still have to do it, need a good eye, patience, a good computer and a caring wife to support, in one word "simply Thai" and a good trainz simulator TS12.:p

Ed , Dave, Tume, to many to name here all of you thank's for making this possible.

For the critics of it's just pictures and you cannot run, you have your life and I have mine and for sure much different and run at least average 20 -25 up fps on this route.

The many pictures is also meant as a guidance to those out there understanding why i show so many: to give ideas, compositions and size of route what is possible.

Roy n Ning;)

Fotos from my Canada - Tripp

Hallo Roy,

I am about to have a look into my pictures and Videos of my Canada-Tripps during 2002 and 2004. I hope this can be done during the next week and so I could provide some little more information about the real thing you are simulating in TS12.
I had simillar support as I used to create my Avery-Drexel-Route. There are a lot of photos about the Bitterrrot in the internet captured by bike riders who used to ride a bike up to St.Paul Pass at the ROW of the old Milwaukee. Also there are a lot of photos of the old Milwaukee from its operation times. Once a very friendly man just sent me a CD with his photos from the Bitterrroots. Therefore it was possible to create a lot of object textures by using photos from the real world.

If you would have a possibility to achive data at a ftp location, I could connect to it to send you something over.

I just uploaded a video at youtube so you can have a glimpse of my tripp and the photos. If you would like to get more, may the best you write me at my mail adress: tume.tume@web.de
