Can you merge & overlap (NOT merge & add) routes? Surfside/Cowra examples?

Can you merge & overlap routes (not merge & add). Not only for Surfside & the Cowra routes, but for all routes. Those two are just examples, as I added cameras to both routes, and changed the road surfaces, and for both added some other items.

For Surfside, I saved it with the name Gold Coast XYZ, but to save time, is their a way to merge & overlap, not just merge & add.

I also plan to alter some of the crossovers to the opposite direction, in the double track version, to save extra reversing.

No - you cannot overlap merged routes. You would have to delete boards to do that where the overlap would occur.

Unfortunately, that's the only way of doing it. Whether that changes in T:ANE is anyone's guess though at this stage.

What part do you need to overlap on the Cowra routes -- they are a perfect butt fit to all there joining routes

Shhhh, don't tell Patchy, but I electrified part of the route, as I want a fictional extension of the Skitube to start from Cooma Station for a distance. And I added some cameras, and as an experiment, added some invisible traffic lanes to some of the no-traffic roads.

Thought their might be a way to merge these extras with the original route, so I don't have to repeat what I've already added.

And similar to the Surfside layout.

Edit: At least with changing track (& some other items), their is a quicker way of doing it, by just replacing them.

That's a long extension! Maybe you could run it all the way down to Bombala or even Canberra. :hehe:

Not really, Cooma to Bullock's Flat is only about 84km by road. And if this path was taken (http://goo.gl/maps/p2vo0), only about 75 - 79km! And only the steepest parts would have a cog rail.
