Cajon Pass WIP

There is no place on the entire line between San Bernardino and Daggett called "Jasper".

Well actually there is, it's just a really tiny town. Where the Wye is (really cool place to see stack trains go through) on the west side of Barstow yards and servicing facilities, go past that a quarter mile on R66 and you're in Jasper. Tiny town, don't blink or you will miss it.:D

The Mojave-Barstow Sub is built in to TS12!?! Good gravy... how'd I miss that!?

Unless you meant just the Mojave Sub, which is Bakersfield to Mojave over Tehachapi Pass... :D Barstow is not included in that (unless I am really missing something...)

Regards,
MSP
oops yes, I think somebody was telling me about the pics of the pass and I assumed it was barstow too

A shot from TS12...

i love this and cant wait to run it in ts09sp4

Not an early Amtrak train, its got 2 P42s and 9 phase IVb superliners. I guessit just seems small being in the distance.

well if it had a Baggage that would indeed appear to be the Chief
2p42's
1Baggage
3-4 Sleepers
1 diner (got yelled at by a porter in one on my trip from flagstaff to chicago)
1 sightseer
2*-4 passengers
(*and depending on the season)
1pass/baggage

Glorious.

Very nice work ! ! !

I have TS12 and this should run fine. Just can't wait. I've been waiting for other things but they turned into vaporware. This looks good, you seem confident about this. Can't wait for it.

Cheers, Mav:wave:

Looks like a great route.
I dont know if this has already been aksed, but will you be putting this route up on the DLS once its finished?

Cheers,
Anthony.

The town you are thinking of is named Lenwood. There is a park and a road in Lenwood named Jasper. There is a BNSF named place 1.6 miles east of Lenwood named Jewell but there is no town or railroad named area called Jasper.

I know the area well as I have worked the Cajon Subdivision in real life.

BTW Wridenour nice work on the route!

short answer: when it's done

It all depends on my schedule and how much time I'll have to work on it. But I promise it will not become "vaporware". :)

I looking for a route that is Prototype And In The West I Look In DLS And I Always Find Dum Layouts That On The Swich Not 2 ways Swiches But 3 Way Just Look At The Rencent Ozark Valley Railway!

I think that you may be not very well-filled in on railways as there are 3-way turnouts around the world

A three-way switch is used to split a railroad track into three divergent paths rather than the more usual two. The complexity of such arrangements usually results in severe speed restrictions, and therefore three-way switches are usually only used in a station or depot where space is restricted and low speeds are normal.

Stub switches can more readily select between three routes, so most three-way switches are stub switches, although some were built using points.[9] It was extremely difficult to hold the two rails the correct distance apart for the length of the switch with these types of switch.

dash013, if you want an awesome prototypical southwest route, why don't you build one? Otherwise you can enjoy the Mojave sub in ts12, the Clovis sub from checkrail, or you can wait for mine.

Btw, as far as I know there aren't any three way switches in the US...but I could be wrong.
