Bridgehampton Metro - UK Light Rail / Modern Tramway in Progress

Hey paul you put up a link for 'minifondali2' from trainzitalia
And 2 Questions
Will there ever be a Tram-Trainz Crossing and how long(roughly) will it be until Bridgehampton Module 1 is released and will we be able to merge them with BridgeHampton Metro South? (BTW I can't count:hehe: )
Jamie

No current plans for a grade crossing between trams and trains, but it could happen. If it does it would be in a future module or extension. It's not the kind of thing that would realistically be built in the UK in a new system (and I'm not sure there were ever many). There might be some track sharing though - I haven't worked everything out.

Can't really say about the line 1 route. It's struggling in surveyor at the moment, even with draw distance at minimum. I'm thinking 2012 sometime. It will actually include Bridgehampton Metro South 2 (they already join).

Do you mean something like this....?

This is a collaboration between myself and Motorman1066.

Well they will.... but it is going to be an ATLS crossing, so there will be channels and other stuff I'm afraid.
Its the only way it will work.

Hey boat? Is it possible, by request to make a train crossing that uses both boomgates and lights?? It's for a route that I'm building;)

Sorry, I don't really have time for major requests but Bloodnok's, UK Skirted Full Barrier level crossing is on the DLS.

And there are others

BUMP
Paul, any updates?? I've seen you over the forums but you haven't posted in here.
Oh and with the 06 Bridgehampton modules, there are ajs 3, 4, & 5 way crossings used, do you think you could drop me a PM on how to use them??
Jamie

Not really - just plodding along. I've spent quite a lot of time on Bridgehampton Coastal lately, but no areas really complete enough to show. Hampton Mall South 2 is almost ready, but there is some replacement content I want to sort out first. The main Bridgehampton Metro route will hardly run in surveyor, so I think I'm going to upgrade (or remove TS2010 SP2) before I go much further with that. There's also a new set of tram poles in the works for TS09/10. It is fairly detailed, and fairly comprehensive (I hope). It's also taking me a long time to sort out all of the combinations.

As far as the AJS crossings go, do you mean the traffic light / tram crossings? If so, the instructions are at http://www.ajsmith.nildram.co.uk/trs/ . My versions are just the same, but with more attachment points. The 3 way controller has instructions in it's own help page (in surveyor).

In TRS2010 do you have an issue with the traffic controller?? I have faulty dependencies, it's the POwer Pack, when I show the errors and warnings
I get this
Error: No selection for tag 'category-era' in 'traincar'.
Warning: This asset requires a shadow mesh, but the mesh table does not contain one.

Jamie:confused:

I'm actually removing all of the AJS crossings from my future routes, as they don't always seem to work for me correctly. The error is easily fixable - open the item for edit in CCP or explorer, and add a decade (e.g. 1990s) into the category era line. IF you're not sure, that line should be correct in any config.txt file of anything that works. And don't worry about the warning.

Paul

Yeah I fixed it and I e-mailed Andy and asked if I could re-release the controller, no reply yet
Jamie

Luke do you think you could delete the picture out of the quote
Just thinking of others with a slower internet
