BR9f Loco not appearing in surveyor

Can I please ask if anyone can advise what I need to do next to get this loco to appear in TRS2004?

I've downloaded all the dependencies, run TO to see the problem, and get these message which have stumped me.

All of the tenders appear in Surveyor with no problem, but not the loco.

Here's a couple of shots I took over 50 yrs ago on my trusty old Kodak 44a, recently found amongst several old B&W pix in the loft! I'm on a bit of a nostalgia trip, trying to recreate that scenario.:eek:

I did manage to find that site last night. Really helpful. However, their download links take me to the DLS where I had already downloaded every parts pack asset and dependency (3 hours via FTP!)

I think they are all there, but I'll recheck. TrainzObjectz seems to be happy that I've got them all - but TO is pointing to a problem with the textures file as shown on the edited in second picture in my original post. I'm now at a loss to know what to do next.

Any thoughts folks?

You should have 95 files plus the manual to have the complete set.
If you don`t have these if you let me know the Kuid No`s you have I should be able to tell you what`s missing

Just caught your post here as I was about to shut down for the night.

I'll check that list tomorrow whilst I eat my Easter egg. It's big (the list, not the egg) but I'm not sure its 95 items long.

I wasn't going to download Evening Star and Black Prince (too clean!), but are they part of the 95 items and do I need them for the double funnel dirty 9f to work?

I haven't got the manual, so I'll get that too. That will probably answer the questions!

Hi Casper --

Just give give you confirmation that the 9F does work in TRS2004:

From memory:
  • There are actually two versions on the DLS.
  • I think that the above images are of the v1.
  • The kuid table of v2 calls up a redundant non-existent kuid - ignore this.
  • The important thing is to get all the dependencies for the cab. Alternatively, alias to the built-in Big Steam cab.
Good luck! It's a great locomotive, but I think that, with all variants combined, you need to download about 90 dependencies (from a clean install of TRS2004).

Unless it's been fixed, I also remember one of the items had a mistake in it's Config File kuid list.
It listed one of it's dependences as Kuid2:101939: instead of Kuid2:101839:
That could be causing the problem.

TO threw that up. I hesitantly changed it in the config.txt file as per your amendment. Good to know it was the right thing to do, so that should be OK now.

The problem seems to be that I'm a few short of items on Peter's list. I'l get those, and I'm sure all will be well.

kuid 101839- vs101939

Been following this thread and the rogue kuid was my only problem with this loco. It's part of the cab, a lever I think.
The only other difference I have with the earlier screenshots are my tender kuids end in :2. But as casper has them showing it shouldn't make any odds.

I just tend to ignore such comments.

We have similar problems here in real life. I reckon its tied in with the 6th grade three language curriculum which seems evident in our part of the world, English, French ... and Profane!

Back on topic, still list checking and FTPing!! Stopped for a break though.

Hi Blackwatch

No, not finished yet.

Getting the missing assets has got a bit boring. I keep getting distracted by the Station Master (who actually helped call out the list for me to check). Probably the most time we've spent together in the last two days!

I've promised to have a day out tomorrow, so hopefully the DLS might get fixed in the meantime and the asset download might be faster. I hate FTP.

I'm spending far too much time on this PC. I ignored all the warnings about addiction to this game. Must spend some quality time with my wife.

I'll get there with the 9f though. Just need a bit of a rest and re-motivation.

Correct. My other half said i was spending too much time on trainz and not on her. Bought her a laptop for Christmas....... The peace and quiet since then is ......Heavenly.:hehe:
