bluestar couplelings

It was in TRS2006 as well, but with BlueStar couplers. The TC3 version has ACS couplers, so that's the better one to look at. If you don't have TC3 the Hybar is in one of the TC3 update packs found at http://www.trainzclassics.co.uk . If you download this you can look at the configs and scripts although you can't try it without TC3.

All of this was possible in TRS2004 by the way, that's what I used to test the vehicles and scripts originally.

I've got the OK from Bloodnok to publish the ACS documentation in the TrainzDev Wiki so that should be in there real soon now. He also tells me that the ACSLib was been updated to handle coupling to BlueStar/CouplerStar vehicles, but I haven't tried this out yet.

Many thanks,

I tried cloning the 13t hybar and dropping in a different main mesh just to play. Works very well especially the buffers and wheel boxes which I always find difficult, except for a few extra bits that would need to be deleted but it does have working ACS couplings.

Thanks for the link but infortunatly i don't have tc3 stuck with 06 and gmax, so i suppose i will need to speak to the minister for war and finance to see if she will part with some of my hard earned money, cheers

TC3 actually is a bit more efficent than TRS2006 so you don't really need new hardware, just the cost of the download. It saves postage and is a lot faster delivery.

You don't need the money to get 3DSMax, get Blender instead - it's free and as capable as Max and much faster. 3DSMax is vastly overrated IMHO.

Is it better then Gmax? As in you don't need a user identification code.
It's better in that sense yes, it's free so you don't need a code. Even better it's available as a portable app so you don't need to install it. You can just copy it onto an USB stick, your iPod, your Handy etc and use it on any Windows PC and it doesn't write anything to the Registry or to the hard drive.

I wish that I had found that out before I gave all of my projects to enginer91.
Start some new ones then.

(back on topic)

The bug in the ACSLib where the low vac pipe of an ACS vehicle wouldn't couple to a BlueStar vehicle has apparently been found and squashed.

Thanks.:D

So will there be a release to fix the bug soon?:D

Thanx guys for the info and got myself a copy of TC3 installed now so will have a play around with it, and have tried blender but can't seem to get my head around it, but had same problem with gmax to start, suppose its what you get used to, and maybe a tutorial on how to set up and use blender will help. Hopefully I can implement some of this couplestar stuff on my projects.

I've already told you that V4 is the TC3 built-in version. The earlier ones were, well, the earlier versions.

Paul
I don't think that you've read my post properly.

I asked what had been fixed in those versions.

Added: But thanks
