Bakersfield To San Bernardino

Looks great! You deserve an award for all of your effort.

-I would rather have a free payware loco or the san bernardino station lol!
-That bridge was perfect! Thanks again Mikeski.
-This is a W.I.P. but thought I'd still share. This is about 1/2 of the San Bernardino A yard and surroundings. (still have the B yard to do)
-I'll Start out with some night time shots!

That looks great! Are you going to enable road traffic so the freeways are filled with that thick L.A. traffic? :D
-wouldn't that be great! have traffic like in rw/rs! where cars actually over take one another and freeways are faster speeds than the streets!
-i dont enable traffic cause its kinda dumb when your train can out run a car on the freeway :hehe:

Joe you can set the speed of the cars in 09. You'll have to open the road in cmp which will automatically add the appropriate tags. then look at the speed tag and enter the speed you want the cars to go. The speed in trainz is calculated in m/s = meters/second, so 65mph = 29.0576m/s rounded to 29. There is a calculator on the net that you can use to convert it, just enter the mph in the mph slot and it will figure the m/s for you. You have to use the number keys at the top of your keyboard.

If when you open the road it doesn't add the speed tag automatically you can add it by right clicking the folder on the right and adding the speed tag.

Thanks socal. As I'm nowhere near local, I would have to guess it's not far from Hesperia, where your last batch of shots were.:)

Also, BNSF50, I tried to change the road speed using CMP in TS2010, but I can't find the place where you change the tag! Any help appreciated.

Happy Trainzing,
Scott.;)

-oh ya sorry about that! it will eventually be Bena, CA. I'm back to experimenting with new textures. i wanted to mess around with something a little more greener than the dead desert!
-Joe

-switching gears a little and taking a break from the desert! but the work don't stop.
-The best known Tank Train service was the run over Tehachapi Pass from Bakersfield to Los Angeles, which ran in the 1980s and 1990s. After a pipeline replaced that operation, the "Oil Cans" became the "Coast Cans", running from a terminal south of San Jose to the L.A. basin.
