Australian screenshots

Decided to give myself a challenge this weekend by doing a VR 'Lamp Room' for Trainz. Used a 'high detail' model to render the textures for the game model, with some tweaking afterward.

Just sent them off to the DLS, and they should be available tomorrow or Tuesday :)

Can they be used as Dunnys? ( I shall have to stop reading from that Aussie slang link posted by mezzoprezzo! )

I wouldn't recommend it

In Trainz, you could get away with it though ;)

Rather old models (converted from MSTS), but 103475:1160:1 & 103475:1161:1 are proper, 'external', VR toilets (most larger stations had at least the ladies toilets inside).

Good to know when you need to go!

The English are renowned for their dry sense of humour.

However, the combination of toilet assets, old age and laughter possibly makes, “dry”, the wrong choice of word.

Just one shot today, a loaded stock train approaches Mayne on its way to Dinmore

Something im playing around with, i managed to get all my L Classes working in trainz 2012 as i had to make a shadow and change it from a .pm to a .im mesh.

Here is a livery i started working on last night :

Outhouse Laughs

Aussies have a sense of humor alright!

Just go into Surveyor, plonk down "House Thunderbox 1" and "House Thunderbox 2" (which are built-in to Trainz), then, for each of them, zoom the camera in close and listen carefully.

;)

Maybe they call outhouses in Australia "thunderboxes" for a reason!

I don't know, I find it hard to swallow the idea of seeing 'QR' emblazoned over a West Aussie loco. :p At least QRN reverted them back to their old Westrail classification rather than that stupid numerical reclassification ARG-G&W started though, so I should be thankful for that. (3100 class I think they called them?)

Still, it's a nice looking reskin nonetheless trainfan. :D

Ghosts Of The Past Series - QGR

Hello Everyone,

I have just finished a holiday project called Ghosts Of The Past; QGR. Well, I managed to complete a QGR 6D16 of the 1900's. Most were scrapped during the last years of WW2 and the last basion of 20 was scrapped in 1955. LLong before the mass of preservation started in Qld in the 1960's & 70's.
