Grasshopper... just truly spectacular. ;)

I envy your work and what you post here on the Forums... just plain envious. That route is coming along wonderfully well. Your devotion and motivation towards it, is simply beyond words.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it! And thanks Forest, that's cool coming from you :D

c38nsw, they're actually Dave's 38s. Stunning models I must admit, and they sound great too (from someone obviously amazingly fantastics sound skills haha) ;)

Jamie, the platforms are something James (boobless_ed) made for me. Its a model of Newcastle Station's platforms

From another time. Suburban Brisbane.

Class Leader 1720 leaves Ferny Grove with Set 26.

Undergoing trials C-17 974 prepares to depart Mayne Carsheds with a Ferny Grove Service.

974 guides its train across Campbell St as it takes the back way to Roma St.

974 and her train cross 808 and her train at Exhibition station.

C-17 808 passes through Mayne under trials on a Ferny Grove Bound Freight.

Newmarket.

808 goes into Number 2 platform at Keperra while 1720 and its train await departure.

I was just wondering if it was the way the screenshot was taken or if it is the track but something looks funny with the crossover just in front of the engine Scott.:o Nice seeing some QR screens coming back in here again.

There was an interesting junction set up there, it took a view of a couple of shots of it to confirm how it was laid out. I will be sending you something soon and you can get some idea from it.
Your depot looks good, showing great potential there as Daniel said should look good with some well placed textures.

Thanks for the encouragement. If I can get it looking even a quater as good as some posted on here of late, you will be able to hear me from down there.

So hang on, you've got an SSR liveried 44 (that was CFCLA and now is IRA owned) with a GrainCorp 48 on a rake of AWB wagons? Haha, awesome! At least the AWB wagons are now owned by GrainCorp, but I dunno what that 44 is doing (especially as it's supposed to be up on blocks at Minto or Cooks River or somewhere like that). It sure looks better in Trainz than it does at the moment!

Not that I'm complaining mind, it's nice to see modern liveries, for those of us who model present-day!

Haha....I'm not one for realism, you know ;)

Bowen GM

Looking great, I should send you QGR Bowen. Its sorta simular to your concept. Drop me a line and we could compare note. If your lucky...i might give you a PB15 which were your typical shunters around Q.G.R yards.

Have been working on a layout for a while and decided to make it steam themed for something different. Ran into some trouble working out the depot as I have had no experience with steam locos, only diesels. I have only recently discovered some of the grasses and other textures. How am I going?
Looking across the entrance to the depot. Engine shed is centre of screen with Engine Servicing on the left and Carriage shed in background. Some texturing done.

Closeup view of the front of the engine shed showing the grass textures in better detail.

Rear of engine shed, coal and water provisioning in foreground and Service shed in background with ash collection just in front. Some textures added.

The front of the Carriage shed with its Service shed on the left. Some grass texturing done here too. Not up to the same standard as others here but its a learning curve. Thanks to Willem2 for some assistance in getting this to come to fruition.
Thanks
Glen.
