Australian screenshots

Hey all,

V 521 pulling the Down Queenscliff on AI control passing by Cheethams Salt Siding

I haven't done much on this area though, still in the research stage, I however did get a 1986 Malways of Ebay for a few bucks, plan on trying to get something around 1930's or earlier for getting locations of buildings and houses for that time.

I did some more research into Queenscliff and the line was fully removed in 1997, I was still in primary school back then, no one I've talked to at Model railway club or family members seems to have any photo's of the tracks, x'ings or trackside scenery before it was ripped up. :(

very nice work ive just start my citytrain network where did u get those emus from they look really great matt

The EMUs in my screenshots are made by WilliamG. They aren't on the DLS (Last time I checked) It was a while ago I downloaded them and I can't remember which website I downloaded them from. The units aren't on his website either. Best bet is to contact WilliamG.

Just a side note, it's best not to quote the screenshots in your reply.

Cheers,
Kent

Kent, Matt and Ryan,

The EMU in the Screenshots is available over at Trainz Luvr.

I came across it a few months ago, and considering its quality, was suprised that it hadn't been mentioned on this forum, considering that it was apparently uploaded in late November.

Hi All.

Fantastic looking beasty this. I just got it into Winzip and tried to extract to my TS2010 Local folder. The following error appears:

Extracting to "C:\TS2010\UserData\local\"
Use Path: yes Overlay Files: no
Program error.

Not sure what this means or how to avoid it. Same error occurs each time I extract to any location. :o

Any help appreciated.

Will probably post some screenshots soon enough.
Happy Trainzing,;)
Scott.

Thanks for that Tom. You have put my brain at rest. I stumbled across it in my searching as well.

can anyone help me get the new emu to work in trainz 2006 thanks matt
i tryed downloading the extra parts for it still now good matt

Hello everyone,
got a laptop for my self tried installing TS2010 and it does not work will try and get TS2009 and if I get back to it I will show my routes:)

Thanks guys, an untapped beauty. I was thinking that it must have been WilliamG's work. And thanks Nick06 for the link.

Ryan

How do you load it (the emu) into trainz? It was a ".zip" file extension, so I extracted it to the userdata folder in TS2010, but it hasn't "worked". Is there a way to do this?

EDIT: I have used CMP to import the content, but it says "unsupported file type" in the errors and warnings. Is there a way around that?

G'day kentith45, I'm currently doing the Gympie North Line as well, so if you could send that to me I can delete my current Nambour and start on Gympie again!

If you've done some NCL, I've done from Caboolture to Beerburrum, and I'd like to see what we can make of it!

Cheers mate!

Some from me.

Due to radio problems, AN1 was placed in front of NR's 85 and 59. Here the train is seen approaching Cougal spiral.

48217, 48203, 48162, 4808 and 48159 depart the grain silos at Sandy Banks.

48217, 48203, 48162, 4808 and 48159 struggle up the hill between Mt Victoria and Bongo Creek. Moments later, they stalled.

With rescue locomotives 48152, 48103 and 8129 attached, they bring the train back to the base of the hill for another attempt.

Having failed to move the train after several attempts, 48152, 48103 and 8129 drag it into Mt Victoria yard where it will detach 15 hoppers.

C501, T386 and G532 crawl up the grade to Owen's Bridge with an El Zorro grain train.

C501, T386 and G532 swing onto the branch line at Archiefield

NR85 and NR84, on the Soutern Spirit, depart Tarrin Rocks yard as an Xplorer watches on.

NR85 and NR84 glide up the 2% grade to Owen's Bridge

NR85 and NR84 approach Emu Flats with the Southern Spirit.

Williamg's EMU's at Home

We see the first run of these cars about to depart Ipswich this morning with set 88 leading 85

Hi all,

Nice shots from everyone lately. Two random screens from messing around tonight:

Unidentified S-sets; the one on left is in a Stabling Road, the set on the right is heading into No. 3 platform with a terminating service.

Minutes later, an M-set heads out of stabling into platform 1, ready to head another service northwards.

Excuse the lack of overhead, still getting to grips with Davido's catenary, which is actually how this route developed. Using it as a test board to figure track spacing and perfect positioning of the catenary and wires. Also using it as an experiment in building an urban route.

Matt.
