Days On The 42 Pound Rail.

Jamie

Its Great In Life To Have A Sense Of Humour. Are You Intresting In Helping Me In A Layout; Please Do PM Or Email Me If Interested.

I hated Cabbage Soup; my Grandmother made a very MEAN Cabbage Soup but sadly forced me eat it or'd I would get a clip around the ear or worse my Grandfather give me a belt on the bum. I used to run down to the railway gates to watch a 900 class shunt around the yards at Isslington, Adelaide. Sadly, kids these days just groan & say whatever old man?:hehe:

Nice shots Michael, you have got a sense of humour when you post your shots:hehe:

I don't like cabbage soup much

A couple of shots of Sadliers Crossing bridge not far from the Brisbane Valley Line junction. A BB18¼ heads a special train returning in the late evening to Roma Street. Once again huge thanks to ad602000 for creating the bridge mesh. It will be released with the QDR BVL Ipswich to Esk route.

Cheers,
Kent

Guess I'll have to brew my own then!

But seriously, how hard would it be to do a quick reskin; to throw at us lesser Aussies down south?:p Come on, just one case, i don't need a truckload! Our beer isn't that weak we need a truckload to get drunk.:hehe::hehe:

Matt.

Hi Matt,

Something like this? It will cost you overtime.:hehe:

bathurst sofala, hmmmmmmmm seen a lot of things out that way but not so much as a rail spike:hehe: . will darby's falls be included? It will be interesting to see what Sofala station looks like:hehe: :hehe: It's good when you can have a bit of fun with fictitious lines

Yes, a bit of fun. Typically, this is just a modular side-project as a distraction from my current SA Outback stuff. I can't focus on the one thing in Trainz constantly as I get demotivated easily.

The initial idea was to simply model a small NSW-themed station made up of a timber platform on stilts, using no bigger than an A2 building (I think it came up ok)... plus make use of some other trees. It was then one of those "close the eyes and point at a NSW map." Wiagdon sounded odd, so I used it.

The way I envisage it, the branchline would head back West along the main railway stopping in at Kelso, then diverging off from the main, and heading north to call in at:
- Forest Grove
- Winburndale (smallest station/locale on the line)
- Peel (the intermediate station on the line)
- Wiagdon
- Wattle Flat
- Sofala (the terminus)

In all, somewhere between 47-50kms I'd say. Agree the whole line would make for a fun project.

Bill,

That will do just fine, thank you very much. I'm drooling already:udrool::udrool::udrool: Your delivery came at the right time, as it's looking like a nice day here on the Central Coast; just perfect to sit back and have a nice cold beer or six, while i contemplate an idea i had for a series of small modular routes.

Matt.

Hey Kent,Please can you tell me, where exactly can I get the very classy looking Timber Bridge. It would look great on all of my QGR/QR Routes including the one I just need on my Wallangarra line. Like the infamous Devils Elbow(Insert Picture Here)Cheers & Pete did you get my email becuase It has the diagrams for the D17, so just give me a yell if you want the beer to be delivered (photo's) RegardsMichael GQGR/QR Commissioner

is there a trestle under the trestle? Half of that doesn't look like what I wacked together. also the road and terrain near the road might be to high as the base of the trestles should show. I based their height on the photos of the overhead warning signage in the photos you sent so if the signs say 4 meters clearance thats the height to the top of the trestle pier with about 1 meter of pier support showing.

cheers

That's the style Trent... that's the style!! Beautiful shot. :Y:

I'm liking the trend of shots in recent pages, where it's not just all about the train(s).
