Hi Oz Trainzers!
Forest_Runner, in your shot above your latest one, I was wondering where I might find a) the locomotive and/or b) the "checkrail" things on your switches (sorry, I don't know the proper terminology for those kinds of railway infrastructure doohickeys)

That specific c38 is under the comtrain/victrainz kuid.
Loco kuid2:1854:3828:1
Tender kuid2:1854:3829:1
Actually I'd grab all the 38's under this kuid.

Some new pics of my 'modules'...
Having just crossed over the level crossing, F184 coasts along with a return working.
A little further along, the F is seen coasting past some local residents, in amongst the grass...
F184 pulls to a stop at the local RM stopping place. These were a fairly common sight across the VR, where a 'full' station wasn't required.
Although the local river is flowing well, many of the creeks are still dry. Here, F184 is seen crossing one of these creeks on a small single span trestle.
Passing yet more locals, and a rather small farm house. One has to wonder where they fit everything in it...
One of the mainstays of the line is a number of small coal sidings, as well as some larger mines scattered along the branch. Here we see F184 passing one of the smaller coal sidings on the line...

Zec & Mulie... beautiful scenes, and undoubtedly will inspire many of us.
I do believe a rusty version of that track where you have your overgrown vegetation, would transform those beautiful scenes into immaculate picture perfect scenes however.

Carnival of Flowers Stram Train
The first of the annual CoF Stram trains to Toowoomba departed this morning, and I caught up with it at a few points.
Picking up speed downhill from Roma Street
A much harder effort is required departing Ipswich
After negotiating the crossovers west of Ipswich, the train now has a good turn of speed as it crosses the Bremer River
Sitting at Rosewood
Gearing up to assault the Little Liverpool Range
And away we go - sort of. The route currently ends a hundred or so metres behind the camera.

The first of the annual CoF Stram trains to Toowoomba departed this morning, and I caught up with it at a few points.

Interesting Poul,
Having done a lil research, it appears to be one of those Bolt Locked Indicator Switchstands.
Used as facing points on the main line. The green arrow indicates the switch is set for the main line, usually a red disk that is set for a crossing loop.
Agree with your end comment, with a little more detail; I'd even have a go.

Yes they are the Bolt Locked Indicator Switchstands.
But the only one's i have come across so far are here http://www.steamranger.org.au/enthusiast/signals2.htm at the bottom of the page.
I do remeber seeing them years ago there where 2 sets 1st set where tall and used on the main lines,
The 2nd set where around knee high and used on a turning triangle.
I will keep looking for more and if i can find some i will send them for you to have a go at.

5 48's lead a grain train through the S-curve at Halley River.

Why does the catenary only go over part of the bridge?
