Happy Birthday
Pinza

Hope you have a great day, enjoy the celebrations even if they may have been on the week end :hehe:

Thanks Craig. Raichaise, it's not Queanbeyan, but you're on the right track (groan). It's one of the stations on the Bombala branch no longer visited by trains.

Matt, It's not Berry circa 1913. If I could find a track plan, I might give it a go though.

Thanks 3830. Clue it's close to Mulie's Cooma layout geographically and chronologically ;)

Put me down for Bombala, prior to adding "loco" and turntable. Looks a lot like the arrangement as looking back from the very end of the line!

I like the whole "where is it?" theme going on in the last few pages.

Appropriate today's shot be NSWGR branch line themed...

Bombala (as of 1921) it is FR, and yes, at the time I had yet to add the engine shed and turntable. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Today's been a pretty great day. :)

Cheers, Evan.

Here is a track plan for Berry, if you're interested. That site is well worth a browse, in my opinion. It doesn't have nearly enough diagrams for the 1920-70ish period, though. You know, the interesting years, before they ripped up all the tracks.

Matt.

It's more a "take it or leave it" Evan (rather than telling you what to do!!), station buildings on line south of Nimmitabel were constructed of pre-cast concrete... and we are blessed with some of this material on the DLS (check out searches on "precast", "pc2" and "pc3").

Random shot just in line with NSWGR topic...

G'day Matt. I've already got that site down in my bookmarks, however I missed the plan for Berry, as I normally look at the stations out west where my HO scale layout, Murringo is set or the Main Southern line and Bombala branch, both of which have a rather sentimental connection.

FR, I agree with you there. It is very much take what you can get, but as most of my routes are fictional or real stations with a bit of modellers license, I can easily make do, except where turntables seem to be concerned. I just can't seem to find something that looks right. I'm thinking of getting into a bit of content creation using some of the plans I have of Australian trains and railway equipment I've sourced for my model railway.

Regards, Evan.

Some more shots, after fiddling around with the AB a bit today :)

F class #184 sits with a miss-numbered AB car in a small stopping place platform. As the crew were taking a few minutes break, I took a few other photos as well.

The AB car...

A few minutes later, I jumped aboard the train to catch this shot as the train coasts past some cows.

Have fun!
